  1. My pleasure. I enjoy reading them because that's how I like to think I look at the team...acknowledge the bad but celebrate the good.
  2. Absolutely. Allen can't continue to consistently give the ball away trying to make the big play. The good news is that at times he has shown an ability to play within the offense.
  3. By releasing the moves publicly those "in the know" can explain the real purpose and intent. Anyway, not a huge deal regardless.
  4. Probably because if they didn't there would be leaks and create even more confusion.
  5. I agree. The Bills didn't leave the field on Sunday feeling good about "hanging around" with the Pats*** -- they were pissed off.
  6. Anybody know when McD speaks to the media today? I want to be close to the Twitter machine...
  7. ...and I'm pretty damned happy with this team. The elite defense I expected has come to fruition, the free agent acquisitions and draft picks have generally been productive, and -- despite some hiccups -- I remain optimistic about Josh Allen's future. What did I say about this team over the summer? I said if the offense could raise its play to "average" they would be a playoff team. They've done better than that, although the turnovers have to stop. They showed the nation that they aren't the Pats*** whipping boys any more. Now, of course everything isn't rosy. McD needs to place a higher value on timeouts. Allen needs to "buy in" to the take-what-they-give-you mentality of running this offense. ST can't make boneheaded mistakes like the blocked punt last week. But all of those are doable. The next four games are crucial to the team's postseason hopes. Go 3-1 and we can legitimately start thinking about playing meaningful football in January. This defense is going to keep them in every game. I'm not worried if Barkley starts this week because he'll play the dink and dunk game and they'll be fine against a Tennessee team that has looked terrible at home. Let Josh rest for an extra week with the bye coming up, and come back ready to go for the three game homestand. We've had a handful of "good" starts over the past 15 years, but none left a feeling of encouragement and legitimate optimism like this one. These aren't the same old Bills.
  8. Great read. I hope Allen takes it to heart.
  9. Ugh. That's a somber reminder to not take anything in your life for granted. How awful for the family.
  10. So...sky not falling? I'm just trying to decide whether I have "begun to lose faith" in Allen.
  11. If anyone has read anything I've ever posted about this idiot you know that I believe this is long overdue. He should be banned from the league. No concern for fellow player safety and no sign of remorse.
  12. It's likely to be an ugly, low-scoring affair this week. The Bills rank 2nd in total defense and 5th in points allowed despite having a -2 turnover ratio. The Titans rank 14th in total defense but 4th in points allowed and have a +5 ratio. Somewhat surprisingly, the Bills' offense is now 9th in total yards (but 23rd in points), and the Titans are 25th in total offense but 13th in points. Perhaps this is a "Captain Obvious" statement, but I really think this one will come down to which team turns the ball over the least as the Bills appear to have the more balanced team.
  13. Yep. I think most of us are just extremely frustrated with Josh’s significant regression yesterday in the biggest test of his young career. It’s a shame he got knocked out because I really wanted to see him lead that 4th quarter drive.
  14. My vote: Better than Anthony Lynn
  15. I like Jordan Phillips for the well-timed “just a bit late” hit.
  16. Really fun article. Explains the origins as well, which obviously not everyone knows. Meh. I think the point is that Bills Mafia should be a nickname all Bills fans support. It doesn't mean table-smashing and it doesn't mean the setup at Pinto Ron's (which existed long before Bills Mafia). It means all true-blue, dyed-in-the-wool Bills fans who really do form a very odd, dysfunctional family. "Mafia" doesn't or shouldn't infer "criminal" -- it's a reference to sticking up for your fellow fans when somebody disses the team. I've never done anything "crazy" at a Bills tailgate (besides drink a bit too much) and I embrace the Bills Mafia moniker.
  17. I hear ya, but for Bills fans we're thinking about the one in preseason and one last week, so it seems like much more of an issue.
  18. I'm pretty sure every QB feels that way when playing on the road. This is news of some kind?
  19. That was a good read, thanks. Very encouraging to see the "advanced stats" backing up what we're seeing regarding Josh's improvement as a passer.
  20. What a freaking awesome response. Dion is not only becoming a go-to soundbite for the media, he's becoming one of my favorite Bills. Talk about a guy for whom "the light came on." The dude oozes process.
  21. Bottom line, the Browns are a bit of a mess right now, and Baker hasn't built upon his rookie season thus far. Rex is a blowhard but (and I really hate to say this) I'm glad somebody isn't afraid to criticize the kid.
