  1. I'm tired of reading opinions that question whether the Bills are good or not based upon their opponents' records. I've been watching football for the better part of 40 years and what I see is a team that, for the most part, doesn't beat itself with dumb mistakes and finds a way to play best when it matters most (i.e., the 4th quarter). What makes bad teams bad? They lose to good teams.
  2. Yep, and that's why I'm not giving up hope to win the division. Wouldn't it be incredible if that W16 game @ Foxboro actually meant winning or losing the East?
  3. Good stuff, enjoyable as always.
  4. I dunno, I think the sign of a franchise QB is never looking that scared and spooked on the field in the first place. Good lord. It was so painful to watch I actually felt sorry for the kid. At least Allen was running around trying to make plays, even if his decisions were suspect.
  5. I’m looking for the “Gase beat Belichick twice but Belichick owns McD” thread. Has anyone seen it?
  6. If only he was more like Bortles!
  7. What is poor taste to some is comedy gold to others.
  8. And to think you’ve laughed at ME for making predictions!!!
  9. Bell is killing it almost 50 yards in the first half!
  10. Bell is about to break one, I can feel it.
  11. I think Luke Falk can get things turned around.
  12. I just want to know if @ScottLaw is still “watching this one closely.” Gase sucks. Gregg sucks. The Jets suck.
  13. If only we had Bortles!
  14. Is @ScottLaw on suicide watch? Somebody please look out for our brother.
  15. Holy crap, there are actually Bortles fans out there?!!!! Take a look at W-L record while you’re at it.
  16. Allen is already a better QB than Bortles ever dreamed of being. His 4th quarter performances alone are all anyone needs to see.
  17. Everyone raved about Vick and everyone raved about Kaepernick, and we know their shelf lives. Vick reinvented himself for a short time and perhaps Kaep would have too, but we’ve seen the “next big thing” at QB before. It doesn’t last.
  18. The only thing I’ll add here is that if you put Bills uniforms on the Dolphins and Pats*** uniforms on the Bills yesterday, the only narrative would be how the Pats*** always find a way to win and how Belichick “owns” McD.
  19. As well as being just an all-around great guy and teammate. He is the poster child for signing and retaining your own. I'm sure Beane will get this done.
  20. What's really funny is reading how Buffalo turned Miami's two turnovers into touchdowns -- while conveniently omitting that the Bills drove NINETY-EIGHT freaking yards after the first one.
  21. Agreed. We've all seen it when Fitz is "on" and he was certainly motivated today. Even the pick wasn't a terrible throw, although I've seen it described as "wobbly" in a couple of places. Tre just made an All-Pro play.
  22. #1: Agree completely -- it's a good thing that the standard has been raised. #4: I feared Milano's absence might be felt and it was...I think Corey Thompson is the guy we really want in that situation but he wasn't yet ready to go either. #9: They were ok. Much better in 2nd half but there were too many penalties (I include TEs in that regard). #10: Yes. I don't care what Philly's record is; win that game and everyone will take notice. Bottom line -- no team, and particularly not a (mostly) young one without a history of success, is going to be "on" each Sunday. Miami was destined to put together at least one "good" game this season and luckily for us it still wasn't enough. This was an excellent teaching point for McD, who now won't have to get his players to believe they have to show up from the opening snap. I think the Bills made good halftime adjustments and received two All-Pro plays from Tre White to get the job done. Don't ever apologize for winning in this league (or for not winning by enough).
  23. I don't think many Bills fans share this concern.
