Bills at Tampa to open the season on TNF makes a lot of sense. SB champs vs. one of the AFC favorites, plus the Brady vs. Buffalo angle. If not that, then a home opener vs. a division opponent.

Four sounds about right, but I could see five given the 17-game schedule. There are three PT games per week, plus the Saturday games at the end of the year — so let’s call it 55 PT games overall (110 teams). That’s a lot of opportunity for the good/popular teams, and as has been noted, the Bills are drawing national interest because of Allen and their offense.

Good stuff. Curious as to your comment about the Bills not paying Taron Johnson. This kid made two of the biggest plays of the season last year and only seems to be getting better. He looks like a great fit in McD’s defense. Your thinking is he will be too expensive?

Add me to the list of "good for Sam" posters. If anybody needed a change of scenery it was Darnold. I've commented previously that I'm not sure Darnold has the drive to excel, but he can still be a very good QB in the right situation. I'll be rooting for him and the Panthers as my "NFC team."

Great to get Lindor signed; good young core w/ Alonso and Conforto. McCann was an underrated pickup. Pitching will be good; they should at least compete for the WC. It’s a shame Covid has interrupted the start of their season but I’m looking forward to watching them.

So, it looks like when the Bills went back to white helmets in 2011 the facemasks were gray. Then from 2012 through 2016 they were white, and from 2017 to now they've been gray (with one white game thrown in during the season in 2019 and 2020). Personally, I like the white but the gray didn't bother me.

There is only one position I’m confident the Bills won’t target with the 30th pick in the draft — QB. Anything else (besides ST specialists) is fair game based upon who the BPA is at that point.

Tre White is one of my favorite humans. Couldn’t be happier this is the team I root for.

I don’t care about the Jets but with respect to QB evaluations, great physical traits aren’t enough. A great work ethic isn’t enough. We’ve seen time and time again that the best QBs in the league are the ones who mentally process the game the best. That, to me, is the most difficult thing to predict and evaluate because so often in college these guys are throwing to wide open receivers and are playing in limited, dumbed-down systems. And when you find a guy who can mentally process the game quickly AND has great physical ability/work ethic, you’ve got a goddamn superstar. Meet Patrick Mahomes. And Josh Allen. Eff the Jets. The Bills are owning this division until Josh is done.

Well, the Bills certainly have earned high marks recently so I don’t have a problem with it.

I moved away from Buffalo (to North Carolina) in 1993 yet kept my season tickets (even upgrading to club seats) until the final year of Rex Ryan when I finally said “enough.” That’s 24 years of out-of-state season tickets for a mostly ***** team. I’ve considered re-upping but now the Bills won’t sell seasons to out-of-state fans.
