  1. C'mon, Coach, this is almost rising to the level of trolling. TAKEN AS A WHOLE there is absolutely no way to view Brandon Beane's tenure as the Bills' GM as anything other than an unmitigated success. This sort of cherry-picking drags you down. "Stop throwing 2nd round picks in the trash" - Jesus, man. When I listen to NFL "experts" all I hear is that the Bills have the best and deepest roster in the NFL. What do you hear?
  2. We don't need to see Brown at the beginning of the year and can let him get completely healthy. Q is a legit starter. I know his pass pro grade sucked but he's not a stiff. And don't forget...Beach Chairs!
  3. He has been very disappointing. One TD catch against backups doesn't change that.
  4. OJ Howard I hope.
  5. Missing the point. The pick was bad and/or Ford didn't have the right attitude. Getting a 5th rounder for a guy you may have been cutting -- and certainly weren't signing to a 2nd contract -- is what good GMs do.
  6. Aaron Kromer turned him into a trade-able asset. Doesn't forgive the original bad draft pick, but this is Beane at his best.
  7. I'm sure you'll see a ton of Bills fans...
  8. I've been to the last couple of Bills' preseason games down here, but this year I'm skipping it. For one, it's a 2.5 hour drive, and with it being the final preseason game I'm not keen on five hours in the car to watch the backups.
  9. Kamil Loud and Kwame Cavil thank you. DaRick Rogers also says hi.
  10. I just wanted to come in and offer my condolences.
  11. I don’t think Dawkins implied this at all. It was a very political answer so as not to throw BJ under the bus. Hiring Kromer was one of the best moves McD has made. My assumption is that Johnson is a coach who instructs in one way only and is unable (or unwilling) to adapt to different players’ needs. His style apparently didn’t bother Dion. Not everyone learns or absorbs information the same way, and the best coaches/teachers understand that different methods are necessary for different players. Whatever the reasons, having Ford “get it” and possibly become a key depth piece is a good thing.
  12. Been saying it since it was announced — “allowing” Bobby Johnson to leave with Daboll and signing Beach Chairs was the biggest move of the offseason. I’m not sure enough people realize how awful Johnson was/is, and how much a good coach can help an OL. I also didn’t “predict” Cody Ford would make the team, but I definitely said it wouldn’t surprise me. Anyone watch any of the Giants game last night? Their OL is trash.
  13. I think that’s basically right. On a team with this strong of a roster you’re looking for the backup to go .500.
  14. I learned one thing from that video…saying “he’s hard” apparently doesn’t mean what I thought it meant. At least I hope not.
  15. I'll do one better. I'll be very, extremely concerned, to the point that I might hope Keenum never gets into a meaningful game ever.
  16. Clearly Hodgins has scuttled the Bills season and I am darned upset about it.
  17. Yes, I think there is something to be said for coaches wanting to "scrimmage" (because that's what preseason is) against organizations they know and respect. If I had to pick a "perfect" Bills preseason it would be games against Carolina, the Giants, and another northeast/midwest NFC team (Packers/Vikings/Lions/Bears/Eagles/Commanders).
  18. You may scoff at this because it's tied to fantasy football, but Rashod Bateman is considered a WR with big upside this year.
  19. I meant Brandt is the only star NOW. @GunnerBill yeah, yeah, we know you despise Brandt, but objectively speaking he's the only member of the GMFB cast right now who is truly marketable.
  20. The only star on that show is Brandt. Shrags is annoying but when Kay and Nate were there you could overlook it. Now he has to try to carry the show and that’s not what anyone is looking for.
  21. Yes, the annual Bills-Lions preseason game was solely a Ralph thing.
  22. Is a 27-yard run in the NFL ever UN-impressive? Wait — I take that back. Daniel Jones had a pretty unimpressive long run a couple of years ago. Carry on. Preseason threads are awesome.
  23. Guys, guys, guys…come on, @FilthyBeast is a filthy troll and he keeps sucking you all in. Let him rot on the vine…
  24. I’m going to get some eye rolls here, but I think the Chargers’ coach is a problem…for them. Staley strikes me as a guy who absolutely believes he’s the smartest one in the room and is going to do everything in his power to prove himself right rather than learn from his mistakes. Maybe I’m wrong — after all, I’m watching this from 30,000 feet — but last year he cost them the playoffs. It’s not often you can point directly to a head coach and say that. The Bolts certainly have a roster to respect.
  25. Damn Scott you made a funny!
