  1. Team age can be a misleading stat, and I think in the Bills’ case it is a bit misleading. Much of the age on this team is in the form of veteran depth, particularly on the OL. The safeties are obviously older but potential replacements are on the roster. On the D line only Miller is “old” but he shows no signs of slowing down. There will always be roster churn from year to year, and nobody can keep rolling out the “same” unit for more than a few years. Long story short — I don’t view this statistic as anything to be “worried” about for the Bills short- and long-term future, particularly when they have a 26-yo stud at the most important position in the game.
  2. You’re one to talk, Puntin.
  3. Because the Bills might do that once all year.
  4. Tenuta (Colts), McCloud (Giants), Owen (Saints), and Kingsley (Bears) were claimed off waivers.
  5. Tenuta (Colts), McCloud (Giants), Owen (Saints), and Kingsley (Bears) were claimed off waivers.
  6. LOL, I appreciate the sarcasm, but you can agree that both things could be true, right?
  7. Yeah, that's disappointing to hear.
  8. So, even accounting for Star, Daryl Williams, and OJ Howard, the Bills' dead cap for 2022 is just over 22M...which is below the league average of 26M. Something else not to get worked up about. Carry on.
  9. I can sum up everything said about OJ Howard in Bills camp as follows: - huge, physically imposing human - slow, plodding route runner - no explosion Why do we care where he goes? Beane swung and missed. End of story.
  10. I probably don’t have to say this to most fans on this board (particularly those 40 and older), but we need to just sit back and soak this all in for the next however many years. I think we’ve got the NFL’s Tiger Woods on our roster (minus the hookers) and when it’s all said and done it’s going to be an amazing story.
  11. Barkley is 100% going to be there. Who knows, Davis Webb may join him. I’d like to see Duke Johnson brought back. He looked good to me in preseason. Blackshear also. Figure that several of the O-linemen will come back.
  12. Finally had a chance to watch the whole thing. All I can say is “wow.”
  13. So, of the four games he’ll miss, I think we’ll only really miss him in two of them — at LA and at Miami. Those teams have the WR corps to do damage. Tennessee and Baltimore aren’t scaring anyone with their passing games. As others have noted, this staff’s ability to coach up DBs, combined with what we all expect will be an enhanced DL, relieves my anxiety considerably. I’m glad they are being patient with Tre and making sure he is 100% before returning.
  14. Those pathways were designed to allow fans to easily outrun any loose alligators on the property.
  15. I’d like to think Erik has matured a bit since then…he doesn’t strike me as the sort to have that type of reaction but I think that was back when he first started doing his stuff.
  16. Agreed. Cook isn’t a guy who needed to “get some work” in the preseason. He’s got an excellent pedigree and played college football at the highest level. He was drafted to bring something to this offense we haven’t had in a very long time. There is no question in my mind Dorsey had no intention of showcasing Cook in meaningless games.
  17. I’m sure you already know this, but this place is tough on actual media types who dare to come in and post. I mean, some folks here are relentless, and not very respectful. Now, I agree that some of the posters who have left are probably a little too thin-skinned, but I can understand them saying “I don’t need this s-h-i-t” also.
  18. Somebody take McD's phone away, STAT.
  19. Wow, Beane really lucked into this pick, seeing as he can't evaluate offense and all.
  20. Gunner, what you say is how you feel, but it's not how a pretty vocal contingent of fans on this board feel. You know it's true. I'm not thin skinned and Beane's record stands for itself. My goal is to make light of the negative ninnies who cry wolf every time things don't go perfectly, and those who harp on the same things again and again and again. I guarantee you Beane felt worse after January's playoff loss then he does this week.
  21. At least be original. Your puppetmaster hates it that I ignore him.
  22. Yeah, dude, that's kinda the point. People are going ape-s-h-i-t over some stuff that isn't a disaster at all.
  23. Apparently Bills' GM Brandon Beane just had the "worst week of his tenure" as the Bills' GM. Let's recap: - traded former 2nd round pick Cody Ford to the Cardinals for a 5th rounder after coming to the conclusion Ford would not start on this OL - released 6th round pick Matt Araiza after sexual assault allegations were revealed in a civil lawsuit - released FA TE OJ Howard, costing the Bills just under 3M against this year's salary cap As far as I am aware, Beane's dog did not pee on his shoes and his wife did not leave him. He is still the GM of the team with the best Vegas odds to win the next Super Bowl. He also just came off an offseason in which he signed future HOF edge rusher Von Miller and orchestrated a draft that is likely to yield several key contributors. He also beefed up a defensive line that while statistically sound, could never finish the deal against Mahomes and the Chiefs. He added multiple pieces to the offensive line for both starter and depth options. If only our worst-ever weeks in our jobs could look like this.
  24. I think you answered both my and your own question. Your "personal opinion" carries little weight in the Bills' FO, and apparently with the rest of the NFL world as well, because nobody viewed that pick as one to supplant Singletary as a starter in 2022.
  25. The nine players most likely to make up the Bills' DL rotation this season account for roughly 13.5% of the salary cap. I'll leave it to others to decide whether that is extravagant or not.
