Hodgins as the backup to Gabe is a bit of an eye-opener.

It makes absolutely no sense. Daboll and Johnson were his coaches in Buffalo. The guy is unhinged and bitter.

I'll confidently go on record that Cole will not be missed at all on the football field, and probably not in the locker room, for the Buffalo Bills this season. He has a certain type of fan following but I'm pretty sure the majority of people in the Bills' organization were tired of his shtick -- and he has lost a step on the field as well. I am appreciative of what Beasley brought to Buffalo in 2019 and 2020...he absolutely helped with Josh's development and was very productive on the field. Once it started becoming more about Beas and less about the team, I lost interest. If he could help us win, fine, but I'm glad they moved on.

This was my expectation and makes perfect sense. The positioning and construction of the stadium is designed to minimize the wind, making it better for both the players and the fans.

My point is that the two games you picked were early season ones in which Josh was asked to drop back 105 times. That's a Daboll problem, which McD addressed in the middle of the season and then the results were much different.

So not since week 8 of last year?

Reggie Gilliam signs 2 yr, up to 5.2 mil extension
eball replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
AND he’s a core special teamer. AND he can play TE. AND he plays with a chip on his shoulder. Totally smh at anyone who is critical of this extension or feels like it is a sign the Bills want to go “conservative” on offense. -
I posted this in another thread that you conveniently ignored…tell me the last “bad” hit you saw Josh take in the pocket.

Not to mention…have you seen his high school tweets? Very questionable extension. -

These neighborhood “speed watchdogs” are a PITA. Near my house is a small residential neighborhood I pass through to go to the golf course. I drive no faster than 25 mph, but near one end somebody puts out two of those yellow plastic children on the street with “slow kids at play” printed on them. First of all, I don’t know why you would “out” your disabled kids like that. But there have been several occasions when I’ve driven through and a woman has rushed out with her hands waving at me to slow down. No kids in sight, I’m at or below the speed limit, and truthfully, I want to just veer into one of those plastic signs and destroy it.

@Ethan in Portland I wonder how we would all look if our teenage lives were exposed. Christ, man. Josh Allen is one of the best NFL role models I’ve ever seen. It’s odd you felt the need to muddy this thread by “warning” us.

Looking for ideas on Go Bills vanity license plate
eball replied to HurlyBurly51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've got a vanity plate in NC that reads "1BFLO" -
Nobody is saying the Bills shouldn't continue to try to get better at OL. Nobody. It's the crusaders who keep harping on it as if the Bills have put no effort into it, when the clear evidence is that they have. But if you told me the Bills could have two "better" O linemen this season at the expense of having to run back last year's D line, I'd say "no thanks."

I think a half's worth of work for Dorsey and Allen in preseason should be enough. And Dorsey will be calling plays the whole preseason anyway. My goodness...so dramatic. Your post should be played with a foreboding soundtrack. Geez, man...you and Scott should lighten up a bit. It's as if the past five years of dragging this franchise up from the depths of mediocrity mean nothing because they didn't sign the players YOU thought they should. This is a fun time to be a Bills fan. It's ok to have a contrary opinion about roster construction but you guys are treating this like life and death.

Jake Luton for the Jags? I may actually bet this one.

I read a quote from Tua yesterday. He was asked what he thinks about everyone being so critical of his deep ball. He said something along the lines of, “I think it’s because they don’t think I can throw the ball far.” I found that to be pretty funny.

“You got that right.”

Two years ago the OL stunk and the Bills were in the AFC Championship. They lost that game because they couldn’t stop Mahomes. Last year the OL was up and down (mostly down), but playing a bit better by the end of the year. They lost in the playoffs because they couldn’t stop Mahomes. See the parallel? Josh and this offense can function at a high level even with an “adequate” OL. Dawkins and Morse are legitimate players. Everyone is freaking out because the other three starters are being moved along slowly as they deal with injuries, but we still have more than a month before the first game. We also now have a competent OL coach. We brought in experienced depth, even if they are not long term answers. The key to this team taking the next step is to have a defensive front that can harass all of the good QBs in the AFC. I am so excited about watching this defense because I think they will be downright nasty. I’m not worried about Josh. He’s got lots of weapons to get the ball out to quickly, and he’s a beast. If an injury happens, it happens, but it won’t be because Josh can’t protect himself behind an iffy OL. How many bad hits have you seen Josh take in the pocket? I can’t remember even one. His hits come from RPOs and designed runs. People need to relax about the OL at this juncture of training camp.
