Considering the success Allen is having in the 4th quarter where a sense of urgency seems to lift his play, should the bills consider running an uptempo offense at the start of the game? Thoughts?

How could he do if the Dolphins had the ball for 11 minutes in the 3rd quarter ?

Agreed. Let these criticism be motivation for him to do better....like Brady in 2001

Josh Allen - week SEVEN report card

Why? The most important thing is the win. As long as Allen is helping the team win, I could care less if he did not have his coming out game. -
+1. He has been a life saver for me everyday on my morning commutes.

Does anyone miss Zach Brown? Nigel Bradham?

But Gilmore did not play at the same level while in BUffalo. It could have been due to bad coaching or the player preserving himself for the big contract and to play with a contender. He didn;'t want to play a second contract with Buffalo. -
First impression: Rosen for the Phins

There are two things to avoid: - Don't assume they are a bad team...and fall into the trap. - Assume they are a bad team - Don't play down to their level and hence make yourself vulnerable. -
Agreed. We have missed Singletary, Kroft and the constant shuffle on the OL. Allen would have scored on that 1st and goal against the Patriots in the 4th quarter

The Bills want to keep the fans in the stadium for the full game and buy more from the concession stands. Hence, all games are going down to the wire !!!

Will we finally see the Bills FULL OFFENSE after the bye?

The Bills offense indeed exploded in the final regular season game against Miami where Allen was responsible for 5 TDs. So may be they will wake up. Not going to happen -
The only time the clock would have mattered is if the time expired as part of the kick. I don't believe that would have been true since the Bills got the ball back after this illegal TD. Even if there were a few seconds left after the FG, the Titans could have run the same play and it would have been a valid play. On thee Bills ST, I think it is hindsight 20-20. The Bills were caught left footed (Moving to the Left of the field) only because the ball went to thee left side only for the throw to come all the way from the middle of the hash marks to the side line. Not everyone can make that throw. When Dyson caught it, he would have needed to beat only one guy. What if the ball was thrown to the right side instead of the left. The Bills had shot themselves in the foot a week before the game started....they started Rob Johnson instead of Flutie who had won all those regular season games for the year. The plan was for Rob to go aerial, but he could never do that against that tough Titans defense.

Week 7 Against Miami - Allen's First 300 Yard Game
ganesh replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Also, Miami is catching up at the wrong time. They are playing an even more dis-functional team in the Redskins this week (and at home) and likely to get their first win this week. Then they will be pumped up for the game at Buffalo in 2 weeks. Lets hope the Bills don't take their feet off the pedal -

I don;t the teams in the league are bad...There is a great transition happening in the QB scene...Veeterans Brees, BigBen, Newton have all been out and are being replaced by Nobody's (but who are doing reasonable), the NFL is lacking star power at that position. That makes every one believe that teams are bad... Veteran QBs injured: BigBen, Brees, Newton, Foles We have 2nd year QBs who are still inconsistent: Mayfield, Allen, Rosen, Lamar We have 1st year QBs who are no-names We have Veteran QBs who are struggling: Brady, Phillips, Dalton, Mid-level QBs have been disappointments - Dak, Goff This is a QB driven league...when QBs are NOT the super stars people think the league is weak. -
Currently, we are the #2 against points allowed team. Opponents have scored 70 points against us. The Patriots have allowed only 39. If the Punts blocked for TD and the many INTs that were returned for TD or TD scored off the turnover, we will be in the same category as the Patriots... This defense is for REAL

But each TD would also make you smile and be so happy. Let us enjoy the good and hope he continues to improve on the bad. -
A Few Thoughts about the Titans Game, in no particular order
ganesh replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem is that many of us don't see the completions he makes in those tight windows/.. We have a risk taking QB...he is going to throw those TDs as well as the INTs. For 20 years we had QBs who were afraid to throw...Many a 3rd and long, QBs would throw before the 1st down marker.....Let us enjoy a QB who is willing to push the ball and continue to learn to avoid the dumb plays...
