This! At the beginning of the season all the pundits at ESPN and NFL.com predicted that we will have the worst record in 2018. I am glad we showed them that we are better than 9 other teams!

The 2017 draft was loaded at the QB position. It could become a historic year. All the rookie QBs have struggled but have also showed significant promise to their embattled franchise.

our next rivalry hopefully is with the Jets...Allen vs Darnold. Allen vs Darnold (Similar to Kelly vs Marino) Allen vs Mayfield (Similar to Kelly vs Elway) Allen vs Rosen (Similar to Kelly vs Aikman)

Yeah..the thing with the Houston game was that we were running close with them (like the first Pat's game) and then the game got out of hand late in the 4th quarter. But the Jets and Dolphin games we lost after having a good lead.

Can you provide examples. The problem with game day coaching decisions is that if the play worked, then the coach is a genius; if it does not, then he is a scapegoat.

and that will come with experience and confidence. He lacked confidence at the beginning of the season. the game was too big for him. The injury helped him to take a back seat and look at the failures (and learn not what to do). I am very hopeful

WE could have realistically beaten both the Jets and Dolphins as we were leading in those games. that would make us 8-8...I don't think we really had a chance in the other games.

Mayfield, Allen, Mahomes, Darnold, Lamar....with Luck, Carr, Mariotta still in their prime....The AFC is going to have some terrific QBs for the next five years.

Agree. The biggest loss for this team without those two linemen was the Run game. If we had a better run game and put the game on Shady's shoulders, may be Allen develops a little more better.

I am hopeful of that too. Hope the Bills have a fantastic offseason with great FA acquisitions and a stellar draft. Then on to TC where there is an undisputed leader at the QB position instead of a 3-headed monster and that should set us up to be a solid team for 2018. young blood !! Our defense is not a Top defense...It is a middling defense that has given up too many points especially in the red zone. Our D plays nothing like in Baltimore where they are protecting their 1st RD QB. Allen has no Running game and an average defense. You can't expect the rookie to win the games by himself.

What I don't understand is why make him a healthy scratch if they are going to release him. I can see the validity of their action if they wanted to trade him.

reports mentioned that the going rate was 5th round....I don't remember a 3rd round pick offer

Tough 1st half schedule (We played 6 of the 8 games on the road). Our 1st half had several Playoff teams Tough going at the QB position with Peterman, Anderson and not yet ready Allen. The 2nd half showed the promise. Defense was atrocious in the 1st half in the Red Zone They gave away way too many TDs. Horrible Special Teams through the year. No Offensive support...Shady had his worst season; no running game; no WRs to catch balls.
