Incredible talent. truly one of the game's best WR's. Very reasonable contract as well. But that attitude....ugh. He's a diva and a flake rolled into one. I'm of the opinion that this could easily backfire. This guy has had the luxury of playing with a HOF QB his entire career and he has a meltdown if he doesn't get his 1,500 yards. What's he going to do if he struggles to get 1,000 yards with a 2nd year QB? He comes across as a me-first guy and not a team player.

Great news for the rest of the division!

Should The Day After The Super Bowl Be A National Holiday?
QCity replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely. This has to happen, it makes too much sense. It wasn't really possible before 1990 since the Superbowl followed the typical schedule of one week off, and you wouldn't want teams to play a championship on short rest. Since they switched to two weeks off a.k.a. let's hype this thing like crazy, there's no reason not to have it on a Saturday. -
How Much Pressure Was Doug Whaley Under To Win?
QCity replied to BillyWhiteShows's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He wasn't under pressure, he was truly clueless about how to construct a roster long term. His philosophy was "Win Now" and he focused on building a team through free agency. His spending was unconscionable. He traded draft picks away like candy. "Bryce Brown? Sure, we'll give you a 4th round pick for him" Hey, we got 36 whole carries out of that deal! His entire approach to team-building was flawed, and that's why he will never be an NFL GM again. Ever. Those were some of the darkest years of the drought, because his firing was inevitable (at least it was to some). If anyone still thinks Doug was a competent GM or that "Rex got him fired," they simply don't understand the duties of a GM past what's required for their fantasy league. -
WR Duke Williams of CFL’s Eskimos Signs with Bills
QCity replied to LEBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I don't see him making the team, but no doubt he's a cheap low risk signing. -
Sean McDermott’s Current Approval Rating
QCity replied to BillyWhiteShows's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm very surprised (stunned actually) to see over 90% in approval, but I think recency bias from the last game has a lot to do with that number. I honestly don't think I've ever seen a season where the Chicken Littles cried so much. -
NFL fines Jordan Mills more than Kiko and Quinn
QCity replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Isn't Kiko a repeat offender? He sure looked like a guy trying to take his frustrations out with a late hit. -
Final Tremaine Edmunds numbers, shoutout from Bills PR
QCity replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You have to be very careful with tackle stats and LBs. He was statistically excellent vs the Pats (11 tackles .5 sack) but his play on the the field was poor (273 rush yds). Bills PR Dept indeed. -

QCity replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow Jets....wow. I mean, I love the potential of this guy and his style of play when healthy but that's just nuts. -

I'm in this boat as well. I don't even consider him a serviceable backup. He played well and completed his ducks in a victory against a 2-win team that quit on their coach, so I sort of get the excitement from fans that have never seen him play before. But, If this guy ever has to come in for 6 or 7 games he might win one or two. Maybe. Anyways, after the QB problems and heat the FO took this year, I fully expect them to carry 3 QBs next year -- and they absolutely should. So if Barkley is going to play the 3rd string/mentor role at QB I think its a good deal.

Not so fun fact-QB 3000 Yd Passing seasons
QCity replied to BobbyC81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
3,000 yards??? This ain't the 1980s. 3,000 yards means squat. Kyle Orton passed for 3,000 yards. In 12 games. -
Saints are merely "great" on the road, but an absolute nightmare to play against in that dome. And with the next two games at home, the road to the Superbowl will assuredly go through N'Awlins.

It's a fair assessment of Allen. It's probably not what fans want to hear, but it's fair. -
