NFL worried about Chargers viability in LA
QCity replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It really isn't. Wait until the Rams have been in town for a few years and the novelty wears off, spending $5B on that stadium could be a financial train-wreck. -
Oh, he's paying for Rex's dinners until the end of 2019...

I love this. 23 years is the new 17 years now.

We have the winning QB from that game now! -
The identity of our fan base across the nation is a fat, drunken guy jumping off his trailer through a flaming table. It's apt.

How much blame does Daboll deserve?
QCity replied to RosenNOTchosen1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is is even possible to suck as the OC for the Pats or Alabama? He lasted 2 years in Cleveland, 1 year in Miami, 1 year in Kansas City, and 1 year in New England before he was demoted to TE coach. Four teams in five years certainly doesn't sound like success. Talent still may be the biggest issue, but Daboll isn't helping the cause. -
On the positive side at least we aren’t the Raiders

All coaching contracts are fully guaranteed. Unless he takes another coaching job. -

Take a deep breath and reevaluate after today

I believe they've chosen option B. -
I know it's always in vogue to bash the OC, but after 6 weeks Daboll looks like he's in way over his head. The Packers game was eye-opening. I can't remember a worse gameplan -- and that's a strong statement when you reflect on this organization's inept offenses over the last two decades. Yes, I am aware of the talent deficiencies on the offensive side of the ball, but these continual illegal formation penalties are a clear indicator he can't get his personnel to execute for him. And calling a 10-yard out with Peterman under center and under 2 minutes to play? He should be investigated by the NFL to see if he had money wagered on the Texans. I can't comprehend how an NFL OC doesn't possess the awareness to take that play off the sheet under those circumstances.

This should be an epic week for forum tantrums lol

I do think you are correct about Tyrell Williams being on their radar. A guy I like is John Brown in Baltimore, another speedster that stretches the field. However his current 1,300 yard pace might drive his price up too much.

Well, rookie OL typically don't need mentors. Spending big money on 32+ yr old linemen probably isn't that smart. A guy like Daryl Williams is a much better target. When theorycrafting next year's FA targets, ask yourself "How will this player help the team in 2020, 2021, and 2022?" If they don't, they are probably not a realistic target.

Next year Tate is 31, Levitre 33, and Veldheer is 32. Not gonna happen.

After week 6 AFC East could have a 4-way tie
QCity replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watt's tied for the league lead in sacks, Clowney looks to be hitting his form with 2.5 in last 2 games. Toughest match up for our OL to date. -

I think Watt and Clowney are going to put an end to this scenario. -
How often do "project" quarterbacks work out?
QCity replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not often, but then again, how often does the "all the tools" college QB work out? You hear the Farve comparison come up a lot (came from a odd college offense, made most of his plays outside the system, great arm and physical traits) but I think Jimmy G. is a recent example of a project that could work out.
