  1. Our problem is that we aren't going to win out.
  2. Saying the Jags "just need a QB" is like saying your car "just needs a new engine" and it will run great. I don't think many here fully comprehend the cap situation they are in. A lot of big names will be gone this offseason and they are stuck with Bortles for another year at $21M. Unless they draft a stud QB that plays at a high level from day 1 (good luck), they are most certainly looking at a coaching/front office overhaul in 2020. Another pyrite team built through free agency.
  3. BILLS-JAGS: TWO TEAMS GOING IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS
  4. You're going to trigger a lot of people with this post, but you do have a point. He won't make it through the rest of the year with that style of play. He needs to learn to slide or he's going to wind up on IR.
  5. The Jags are a financial disaster and a cautionary tale about about mortgaging the future to "win now" (if you're still part of the group that hasn't learned that from the Whaley years). They have 41 players under contract next year and they are still $15-$20M over next year's estimated cap. Players like Dareus, Gipson, and Church have to be released just to get them close. They are stuck with Bortles for one more year at a cap hit of $21M. They took their shot and missed, now they will be paying the price. Some schadenfreude for Marrone.
  6. Amazon is an e-commerce internet retailer, not a steel plant. They don't ship products to you by boat. A shipping port was not on their list of demands, however they wanted to be close to an international airport. To answer the thread topic, New Era owns the naming right's until 2022.
  7. It makes sense for him to learn from the best teacher. Assuming Barkley will be our backup for years because he beat the Jets is ridiculous. And no, this is not analogous to a bad student tutoring your child.
  8. So you want a star QB from the past 5 years to mentor him? OK
  9. If you get a chance to make yourself feel better by kicking someone when they're down, you gotta take it.
  10. Oh God Jerry Jones would give him the key to the vault.
  11. You gotta find a way to stop posting this nonsense.
  12. He was a far, far worse GM than most people realize. The fans that blame his firing on Rex and claim he fielded a great roster don't understand how to build a team past what's required for their fantasy leagues. He wasn't "saddled" with a poor QB situation, he was a part of it and didn't know how to remedy it. Doug Whaley was a king in the eyes of the myopic fan that craves instant gratification -- those who can only see as far as next month.
  13. Probably best to just stay inside and curl up into the fetal position until next season.
  14. Some would say we have zero edge pass rushers right now, and generate pressure through scheme. I guess a guy that's on target for 8 sacks is...pretty good?
  15. John Kryk basically said you need a QB to win in the NFL. Enlightening.
  16. I thought fans throwing dildos onto the field was a new low in embarrassment, but I was wrong.
  17. Have fun without your 1st round pick next year, Jerry.
  18. Yeah, I can usually tolerate any crew, but there's something incredibly grating about Booger constantly interrupting to state absolutely nothing of value.
  19. You give Rex $27.5M GTD and he will be "all in" (whatever that actually means) with any team, in any city, in any sport. You've been had.
  20. He didn't embrace Buffalo, he embraced Terry's paycheck. As soon as he was fired the stickers came off the truck. He doesn't care about Cookie or Putulski, and he's not going to be stopping into town to grab wings and enjoy the culture. In fact, he'll likely never set foot near WNY again unless forced -- con artists don't return to the scene of the crime.
