Traffic is not the issue, you can sell ads on any site regardless of the amount of pageviews it gets, and certainly not an issue for one that has ~1M subscribers. The problem is that people that pay for a subscription do not want to see ads. One approach is to sell ads on free content that paying customers would be blocked from viewing.

Look at each contract we gave all our FA's last year. We can walk away from every single one of them after 2 years with minimal damage if they don't work out. A far cry from the Whaley days.

And while a cheap deal that the team can walk away from after 1 year wouldn't be the end of the world, it must not preclude the FO from properly addressing the position and getting someone in here that can work with our QB for years to come.
