  1. When the Bills lose this forum goes into full-blown defeatist tantrum mode and just starts lashing out randomly. Fire the coordinators, fire the coach, fire the GM, cut Edmunds, "we're better off losing out for a higher draft pick", etc, etc.
  2. Nobody is rooting for the Patriots for Christ's sake.
  3. I watched the game and I didn't hear this. What exactly did you hear?
  4. The guy is a D-Bag.
  5. I'm betting there will be a lot of Super Bowls in Vegas. It's really the perfect place for it.
  6. The D padded its stats playing against 5 backup QBs.
  7. We just lost in Tampa, yeah that weather was brutal. Almost as bad as the Jacksonville game. Not quite as bad as the Steelers opener when it got down into the 60's.
  8. Most are gnashing their teeth over the final play because that's the image stuck in their heads. That's not on him, there's not a LB in the league that could cover a WR who runs a 4.25 40. My ire is with the whiffed tackle on 3rd and 1, but I'll admit he's not as bad as the fans are making him out to be this week.
  9. Yards per catch has no bearing on separation. Davante Adams is probably the top WR at getting into space, yet he averages ~12 ypc in his career. Play-action tends to generate separation regardless of who is targeted.
  10. There was only one hole to hit, and he kinda did run by the play with that attempted arm tackle. 3rd and 1, OT against the Superbowl champs, and your line keeps you clean? That's a wet dream for a MLB.
  11. Turf toe is no joke, it can persist a long time. The agony of the feet: Why turf toe is such a dreaded injury in the NFL
  12. Bills always play their best when the entire country is watching.
  13. Nobody in this thread is suggesting we cut Edmunds or replace him, and if you think ZC is a "street free agent" it's clear you have no idea what you're talking about. But you're not alone -- it's pretty obvious most here have never heard of him or seen him play. If this was a washed-up running back that everybody had on their fantasy team 5 years ago this thread would be 50 pages. It's very, very rare that a player of this caliber becomes available in December like this, especially at this price. Anyone insinuating that ZC doesn't have a place in this league due to his coverage skills simply does not know what they're talking about. Vrabel and his DC Shane Bowen were on the Texans coaching staff when ZC was a rookie in 2017.
  14. Ok this is utter nonsense. Adding a LB that can play the run isn't going to cause our secondary to fall apart, just like it won't be a miracle cure for the run game. I'm fully aware our defense is base nickel, and he's not coming here to supplant Edmunds or Milano. What he does give you is incredible versatility in run-oriented packages, and right now that would cost us <$1M cap hit. Anyone against this idea doesn't watch football outside of Bills games (he's a tackling machine). And if you have been watching these Bills games and still have playoff aspirations, you should probably be aware that the Titans, Colts, and Patriots are going to be in our way. The locker room issues are way overblown. The Texans are a dumpster fire that just gave him a $58M contract and less than a year later benched him after a coaching change. Do you want a dumpster fire example? GM Bill O'Brien didn't want to pay Hopkins, so he traded him for a washed-up RB and a 2nd round pick. He then spent that money on Cunningham, got fired, and got to watch his replacement David Culley bench Cunningham for Kamu Grugier-HIll. Now he's waived and the Texans have to eat a $12M cap hit next year. Yikes. Regardless, don't freak out when an AFC rival grabs him Thursday because it won't matter -- we can't run the ball anyway.
  15. Good article on Pike right before the '94 Superbowl. PIKE IS STALWART SECRET OF BILLS' SPECIAL TEAMS
  16. We need a run stuffing LB that can hit the A-gap and stand up a guard. Edmund's coverage skills didn't help much Monday night.
  17. He's not trying to get insight whatsoever, he's heard all the cliches. He's trying to provoke a reaction when tempers are high.
  18. Despite the outcome, I found the game to be quite compelling, and probably the tensest game of the year so far. Not a single one of my friends were bored, all of them were completely engaged and riveted until the final Allen incompletion (at which point they became enraged). Judging by the reaction on the internet, this game is clearly the talk of the week. Here's another free opinion -- fans that blame the loss on the stadium are a bunch of clowns. Continue your tantrum.
  19. Knox was a trainwreck. His drops killed drives. That false start to make it 3rd and 14 was devastating. What game are some of you watching? You can make those mistakes against the Jets, not the Pats.
