  1. Does anybody believe this is remotely possible? I guess a good message board topic but that is as far as it goes.
  2. Give up a second and pay $20 million per year for an old, maybe injury prone OT? No thanks.
  3. The trend to taller slot receivers impacts his value. Surprised a bit he was signed. I was a fan when he was with the Bills.
  4. Anderson would have and did worry me. Perriman not so much. Darnold is going to be jealous of Josh's weapons.
  5. You are correct. The big rate for a first round pick is ~ 50%. A first round WR is even worse. Now factor in that a WR typically takes a few seasons to shine. Trading for an established WR is a great move and the team will be better with the sure thing vs the draft lottery. Diggs > pick 22.
  6. It really only makes sense to a writer with space to fill. To summarize why a bad idea: 1. Will want to be a starter 2. Will want more $ than a normal backup 3. His ego is not suited to a backup 4. Does not seem like the mentor type 5. Injury status unknown So while I think he is better than Barkley as a QB, he would not be a better backup QB.
  7. How someone can defend this practice of loading the CV bill with non virus assistance is indefensible. The people who are taking advantage of the situation in Washington and those that defend the practice are terrible people. We can/will disagree on if enough/too much has been done but seems like all people can agree on not taking advantage of the situation. Those who are doing this need to look themselves in the mirror and access their beliefs that will hurt people for political gain. OK - off soapbox.
  8. A good organization needs a talent pipeline when they lose talent. Seems like losing Beane and others hurt Carolina. One of the under rated efforts by Beane is to create depth in the front office talent pool. This will protect the organization when someone moves on.
  9. You can play in front of an empty stadium but no way to prevent players/coaches/staffs from passing the virus along.
  10. A year from now Harris will be cut and people will be wondering why the Chargers signed an older, slowing down DB.
  11. Not a fan of giving up the 3rd. Move the 5th on picks but keep 2-4. The team still has needs that those picks will bring.
  12. Back to the topic.....no one knows and those that say they do are lying. My approach would be to prepare contingent plans and wait as long as possible to decide.
  13. There is a good chance one of your top 4 is available at 54. If so, pull the trigger. Whom ever the back is I want a dual purpose back. Gore was old and slow but the defenses knew it was run all the way. Go 3 wide with a receiving threat out of the backfield.
  14. So sign a guy who has been a bust except for a few games last year. Sounds reasonable. .....or the Bills could draft a receiver in a talent heavy draft for less $.
  15. A rotational DE is more important to the team than an oft injured, 3rd string RB.
  16. The majority of teams have concerns on their OL. The Bills are in good shape compared to most. If there was a good OT at 54 I may draft dependent upon who else is available. This is not because of a concern but a strategy to have the best 5 possible at a reasonable cost.
  17. A SI post FA (thus far) draft had Dobbins in the 2nd and Greenard in the 3rd. Not familiar with Greenard, what is your evaluation?
  18. I went with Hyde also. It was for the above plus an unhappy Gordon will not be a productive Gordon.
  19. When they are gone, it will be someone else. I can't wait for the hype on the UDFA WR who will be a star.
  20. A general question "interested in X" is only half the equation - what are the terms. Hyde for vet min - yes. Hyde for $10 million/year then no. No need to overpay when in round 2/3 you can get comparable talent. So if in the $2-3 million range than I would consider all else being equal.
