  1. Wait - it is April 7th. I am doing this posting thing wrong - I should start a thread for every idle speculation.
  2. OK - back and will check in occasionally for when the Browns are on the clock.
  3. I have been waiting on deck but need to run an errand. I will make my pick in about 2 hours when I return - all ready to go.
  4. Once you get past the first few rounds I would think most people do not understand the prospects. There are some on the board who have this detail but I suspect they are the exception.
  5. I was looking at him for the Browns at 74. Good pick.
  6. This is a value pick - I would have guessed he would go by mid 2nd round with the premium on the position.
  7. This was my vote for the Bills pick @ 54. While I am not convinced he will be all pro, he should turn into a solid run and pass defender.
  8. I agree - having a run or pass running back gives the D too much of an edge. Does not mean one won''t excel in one area more than the other but they must be a threat. When Gore or Yeldon came in last year it was a major tell on the likely play call.
  9. Seems like we have a winner in Claypool....I went with a different ND player in Okwara . Not sure how I feel about Claypool. He has physical traits but did production match? That said, I am not an expert.
  10. I have read several articles that teams will be conservative in their picks. They will make the safe pick or not take a chance on a medical or personal issue without seeing the player in person. Fortune favors the bold. I am hoping the Bills will take BPA in rounds 2/3 at a position of need. Then use the remaining picks as lottery tickets. If a talented player is falling because of the safe mentality, then strike. While they all may not pan out, the Bills could get some gold that otherwise would not be available.
  11. Not really comparing their strengths and weaknesses. What was their college production and NFL projections? When you are the only one advocating a position you are either wrong or a genius.
  12. Thanks to you ant @Virgilfor organizing and running these mock drafts. Especially when many other activities are shut down.
  13. I can understand the argument that Barkley can be upgraded. I do not see the argument that Smith is that solution. He is a health risk and if he retires he gives up his guaranteed money. By all accounts Smith is a smart person and why jeopardize his health to be a backup? Lastly why waste the cap $ and draft picks to acquire? All in all, a weak case on why make him the backup.
  14. You got to the right conclusion but define the "lots". I am thinking 3 tops and history shows 1 of those 3 will likely bust.
  15. The Browns got their LT in round 1. This selection was between Delpit of LSU who regressed in 2019 or Terrell from Clemson who was last seen being roasted in the championship game. With the 9th pick of the second round, the Cleveland Browns select Grant Delpit,SB, LSU. In this case CB is the higher positional importance but the Browns are lacking in safety talent. Delpit will start day 1. A round 3 S may not be able to start right away. The Jags with GM @wppeteare on the clock.
  16. Personally I would have gone Tua.....I think Love is going to self destruct. Too many ups and downs.
  17. Well if the QB works out this is a great draft thus far.
  18. I was hoping he would slide a few more.......good pick.
  19. Minshew's mom would not take him over Allen if those were the two choices.
  20. I was thinking this was a parody - so sad that it is true. At what point does his family throw in the towel?
  21. Looking at the next several teams, Miami may get their QB.
  22. I wonder what specific law/regulation gives her the right? I suspect many of these edicts would lose in court if challenged. Any legal experts have a POV?
