  1. You are correct.....the team appears to have many third and fourth receivers but no #2. That said if a top rated CB or S is on the board, it would be a good problem to have in making the selection.
  2. I was not fan of going with Howard at first. However he would give the offense great flexibility.......they could shift from a run to pass to run look easily to get matchup advantages. I would not be in favor of any other TE because they do not offer flexibility.
  3. Which the week before beat a playoff team soundly....
  4. Over 6.......I am thinking another 7 to 9 range but 6 seems low unless the draft is terrible.
  5. If the draft is deep with running backs why would Seattle give up an asset and pay McCoy more than they would a drafted back?
  6. You are critiquing the team team for being 'So Billsy" when this is message board speculation. The Bills do enough on their own to merit criticism, why do you need to act like they are really doing this? Wait til they roll it out and fire away.
  7. So safety and corner are so different that a player can only be good at one? It makes sense to have interchangeable parts in the secondary to be able to respond to the offense.
  8. If he is there in the 5th take a flyer. No sleep lost if another team takes the plunge. If Prescott gets knocked down to a 4th round pick for a dwi, then what hit will Kelly take?
  9. Exactly why I don't understand the over reaction. If no other team produces an offer, the Bills get a bargain. If he does get an offer, they match. In this case the higher tender was exceeded so it was a moot point.
  10. It really seems to be lining up for a WR.......A definite need and the top players at CB and S will most likely not make it to #10. Now if one was to drop and Williams and Davis is still on the board, that will make for interesting discussion.
  11. So is a team supposed to sign their own free agents to retain talent/continuity or let them walk to get comp picks? The answer is different every year dependent upon circumstances.
  12. He is not horrible.......when these statements are made it degrades other points of view that may be good. I personally think he is not worth the $14+MM but he is not horrible.
  13. I wonder how many posters on the 49er's message board type 'Super Bowl"?
  14. Yes - at or close to the minimum with a small signing bonus.
  15. In general I agree but what are the alternatives? Gotta upgrade from Mills and the draft class is weak supposedly. Move Kujo?
  16. If I recall, there was no competition in camp for Schmidt. There should always be competition or you get performance gaps like last year.
  17. Loved his heart and drive but he was a match-up nightmare for the D.
  18. Thanks - have come here off and on in past. It will now be my go to BB site. The philosophy you have articulated below will make this a much more enjoyable experience. Too few posters with too many agendas make for poor reading. "The issue we probably have the most trouble with is "crusading". The bottom line here is that there isn't a single poster on this board that has the power to make any change with the team. And because of that, there is no reason to try and make every single person agree with you by bludgeoning everyone with the same opinion endlessly. Make your point once. Make it twice. Make it when appropriate. Just don't make the same point in every thread, every day, day after day. It just pisses people off."
