I agree - will not change anything. What will create change is to fire any ref in the bottom 10 rankings each year.

So what is the opposite of process? Random acts that do not focus on delivering a defined result? We can debate there is a better process but why do folks believe they should not follow (respect) a process? While I do not like the Patriots they follow and execute a process ruthlessly. A good process does not always yield the best result but lack of a process will certainly not deliver the desired result.

Exactly - it is real and important. Winners usually have the right combination of talent, coaching and culture. Being strong in one are can help offset weakness in others but to be continually successful is to have a good mix of all areas. Having all 3 produce better overall results.

It can be a $20MM decision. Out earlier is one year closer to a big payday. Factor in the risk of injury or a poor year then they will run to declare. The reason not to is if they have a bad year. Then return and hope to light it up.
