    Without knowing what the cost for Smith would be, I would choose Bradford - no lost picks. I suspect his injury history will keep the cost down. If all things were equal, then I would pick Smith but since you will pay for the privilege then Bradford. Either choice assumes drafting a QB at 21 to develop.

    Technically true since he made the trade. However the root cause is the previous bad contracts.

    With players who had minimal time playing together and generic schemes. So maybe, maybe not. I think this time of the year people look for reasons to find a diamond. It is hard enough when with the top talent to make the right pick let alone a long shot.

    Do they need DTs or more defense? Suspect they will concentrate on offense as that is where the need is for them.

    .....and with high potential comes high bust. When he busts he will drag a franchise down for a few years as they give him time to succeed.

    Agree. This is down the list of requirements. Unless he is well below average, it becomes a secondary evaluation criteria.

    Lost interest when he said Hurts was fine. Hurts was very limited and needed to be worked around significantly.

    If this happens then you call Cleveland quick to make a deal. I have a hard time with Allen's accuracy and why does it improve in the NFL. I know coaching is the answer but tough to change.

    I don't know if Rudolph is a good choice but Jackson is a bad choice IMO. His accuracy issues would need a substantial improvement, not a marginal tweak.

    Assuming this is a good analysis how is Allen a first round pick? Yet some team will fall in love and make the pick. Let us hope the Bills are not the one.

    A first for an aging, one year rental - not a chance unless he was the last piece needed for a SB.

    Exactly. You take the shot. You may not be in that position again. If you wait and draft lower, the cost will be worse if you can make the deal. GMs will be using Cleveland as a case study on what not to do to avoid being fired.
