  1. I was convinced that NYG was going to take a QB at #2. Still leaning that way but I can see them riding Eli for a few more and taking a stud. This is good for the Bills in that it opens up a pick later that requires less capital. Even better if teams ahead land Cousins and/or Keenum. I do disagree with those who think Denver might sign Keenum and draft a QB. I suspect his agent will not make the Glennon mistake and sign a contract that will allow the ream to escape. He will have enough suitors where he can get a long term deal.
  2. +1 He may be great or set you back 4 years. Better to go with Rosen, Mayfield or Darnold. Maybe a slightly lower ceiling but higher floor.
  3. Some of the comments above do not represent all Bills fans. Thanks for looking at the positives.
  4. When you look at the schedule for QBs the Bills will be playing, he does not strike the fear that Brees, Ryan, etc do. He is a good, not great QB, and not worth the price.
  5. The Bills should trade up if able with a reasonable package: 1. Rosen 2. Darnold 3. Mayfield Pick at 21 if they fall to the Bills: 4. Allen 5. Jackson or Rudolph
  6. I recall an article that Cousins would file a grievance if tagged because it was against the rules tag a player with the intention to trade. Am I remembering this correctly and if so, why is this an option for the dolphins.
  7. Impossible for the QBs drafted last year. The draft class of 2016 (Goff/Wentz) look good after 2 years but they mot stnad the test of time. A lesser pick may rise and they may fall.
  8. I let the agent make the first offer and then counter. I would be prepared to offer 2 yrs, $7M total ($4M 2018, $3M 2019). No signing bonus, maybe a roster bonus week 1.
  9. Does a GM ever say "We are not going to listen to offers" even if they do not plan to listen? If Cleveland does not pick a QB at 1 it is gross negligence. Play the game to wait to 4 for a QB is a huge risk that 3 are not selected ahead of you and you end up with the leftovers.
  10. I will give you a layup for post 10,000 - what is that based on? They have had and this year have quantity - they need quality.
  11. This would work IMO. It is about the max package. I believe teams negotiate against themselves too often. No other team can offer 2 ones this year other than Cleveland and they have no need to do so. Chicago's trade last year is a good example of ovepaying. Make your offer and hold tight - if fair the NYG may bite.
  12. Why? They already moved on from one DT problem. He is same, maybe worse. At least Beane got a draft pick for his problem.
  13. A quality enhancement to this site would be to delete the account of those with this type of post automatically - raise the quality for the remainder of us across the board.
  14. No reason, not one, not to select Mayfield.
  15. This is a no win situation with both sides having good and bad points. I would leave it the way it is now but enforce the uncatchable part of the rule. It seems that minor interference on a low percentage pass gets PI. In those cases don't make the call - keep the flag in the pocket.
  16. Supply and demand. Wings now cost more than boneless skinless chicken breasts.
  17. The list not to draft Allen: 1. Inaccurate 2. Inaccurate 3. Inaccurate
  18. I am going to temper this with what I think will happen. A QB needing team in top 10 sign Cousins (Broncos or Jets). The giants decide to go with Eli and give him some tools. This allows the Bills to get to the 7-8 range by packaging the 2 #1's, preserving the 2 second round picks. They then pick Mayfield - getting a top 3 QB and minimizing the loss of assets. That all said, I would be happy with Mayfield, Rosen or Darnould. Would be very unhappy with Allen - bust is written all over him.
  19. The OP does this often and people continue to bite. The problem is if anything good is posted it is lost.
