Looking back now i would tend to agree ! Even after they traded McCaron when the Jets let Teddy go they should have made a offer with the extra 5th they got for AJ but as they say hind sight is 20/20 !!

So at this point of the season would you rather have a guy that can step in that has been in & knows the offense or a guy that hasn't & only knows a small piece of it in a game while he is scrambling to learn it on the run add to it that he is older & hasn't played in 2 yrs ? brilliant deduction ... It would have made a lot more sense to sign Bridgewater to a prove it deal by now he would have known the offense if they got him when he was traded at least there would have been some one that has shown he can still play at a high level & if he would have worked out you have a option to keep& play him or a trade chip next year to work with .

As long as he can string together some wins like Orton did i'm in !! The bigger question though is what can Allen learn from Anderson during this time ??

It was stupid to move them from San Diego but you can't tell a Billionaire nothin especially when the multi Billionaire league is pushing it weather it makes sense or not !!

Wow ! I'm going to do 2 for 1 to buffalostu2 it's never to late to learn from our mistakes you can always learn its the seeing & admitting the mistake that is the hard part but we can always learn from our past !! I don't see how you can not say that the team is in a better place as far as contracts go, sure this year is tight but that is not at the doing of Bean he isn't the one that had written up or agree'd to the contracts that are now paying off dead money on the cap he is the one that is rectifying the situation left by the previous man in charge . As far as it taking 4 picks to get Allen i'm not seeing where or how that came into play sure Bean & company had to trade a couple picks a 1st & a later round pick to get Allen but that was better than trading 2 consecutive 1st round picks for a WR especially with who was still on the board at the time !! Mack being selected the pick after the Bills in that draft . I'm with joesixpack this post & the one prior aren't anywhere even close to making sense IMHO !! Just to add to it the D is now in the #3 spot in the NFL if this rebuild isn't working then where does that stat fit in along with the players they have gotten the past 2 seasons (White, Phillups, Edmunds,Johnson,Milano,Neal,) to boast the defensive play for years to come just saying !! If they focus on offense in next years draft to add to what they picked up this year & last (Dawkins,Jones,Allen,Teller) along with the cash they will have freed up by getting rid of the bad contracts they should be in much better shape !!

It has to be Anderson i don't think the team can get behind a guy that has the highest interception ratio since the 1975 season !!

With in a football game they say it only takes one or 2 plays to cause the game to be won or lost as we saw last week, when the back up QB was called on & after throwing a TD to win the game threw a pass to also lose the game. I believe that the same can be said about coaching decisions with in a season can cause a totally different out come by just a couple of moves. McD made one IMHO this year that may have made this season & the maturation process of Allen be in a totally different place than it is right now . Not to mention Allen's injury . At the beginning of the season they brought in what this fan thought was the guy to possibly be the starter at QB this year while Allen & quite possibly Petermen sat & learned that guy being McCaron, but seeing as Petermen did all the right things to win the starting job they bailed on the original plan or "Process" as it's called ! As it stands now we all know where the Bills QB situation is but by one decision it could be totally different & i hope McD & Bean are the kind that learn from their mistakes ! I know a lot of you will think & rightfully so this is a could of, should of, would of, post & it is i think it is relevant to where the team is now not to mention the maturation of our coach & GM . I know a lot of people here didn't like the AJ move because of his lack of "on field playing time" but given what's transpired to this point it would have been good to keep him around longer than they did or at the very least to see what Petermen could or could not do which could have put the Bills in a totally different place to this point . If some common sense & patience was used prior to Petermen imploding the first time AJ would have been put in as the #2, Allen would still be 3rd on the list learning as they supposedly wanted him to be to learn . Then if AJ would have gotten dinged in any way like the last game Petermen would have been put in only to implode again but Allen would have had 6 more games to learn from . Following what i thought at the beginning of the year was a plan laid out (or at least what looked like the plan in this fans eyes) to have a veteran with a little bit more experience than the other QB's on the roster to at least to be there incase something like what has happened, happens could be there to steady the ship but instead here they are ! To throw it all to the way side only to find them selves where they are in a situation to have to go out & now bring in a QB that's older, less athletic, that hasn't played in more than a few years & that doesn't know the play book makes no sense what so ever !! Which with this one decision at the beginning of the season could have changed the out come of not only a season but for our QB of the futures career in some ways . I like to this point a lot of things McBean has done & think they will get to where they are headed with this team but i hope this one move doesn't define their time here or Allen's future I also hope the Anderson decision will be a good one !! Buffalo has had a couple decent QB's here over the years which "could have" had different out comes possibly if certain decisions were made differently & i hope this one isn't another one that has put the Bills QB future in jeopardy once again by possibly pulling the trigger to quickly ! Bash away Bills fans !!

I think it could be a McD / Bean thing Moore shouldn't be sitting he was a above average back up while with the Fins & didn't do terrible when called upon, he may not be a starter but he's a good back up !!

Don't remember anything about a concussion & the hit he took wasn't his fault could have happened to any QB in a game it just so happens that it was Josh so that makes him injury prone ??? ?

The tables have turned & ABC in all their brilliant knowledge of how to screw up a good thing changed the best /most watched sporting event for decades from a free watch on local TV to something you had to buy cable to watch & gave all those ratings to NBC & turned the game of the week to Sunday instead of Monday ! BRILLIANT !! Put that game on the same day as the majority of the games are on TV any way & let's see if we can get enough dumb ***** to buy cable & keep those ratings !! I wonder just how much those ratings for MNF have dropped since the change in comparison to what SNF ratings are ? The guy that made that decision i bet went out the door with the rest of the people that were fired from the ESPN/ABC staff !!

As history goes in B/Lo one side of the ball is great the other side SUCKS !! I hope McD can get it together but its a tall task if he doesn't do what he said he would in that film he made this year ! As a reminder he said "who ever doesn't give their all will be sitting" or something like that so he should sit KB & a couple of others & bring back others like maybe Reilly to see what he could bring because it's got to be better than what he kept !!

What about Teller & the others that they have brought in via trade or as a FA signing we have some younger talent sitting every week & if this season is going the way it is lets see what they may be able to give for future reference instead of continually bringing in more players that may be only as good as whats there now .

Gruden beat his old team with Tony Dungy's team & is now considered a great SB winning coach this go round will show exactly what he is worth when he has to build the team & win with it ! And if you can judge strictly by the decision to get rid of Mack boy is this going to be a Rex Ryan type of shortened career move for him in Oakland !! ? But like Rex he can always go back to the booth or at least retire Because he sure won't need the money !! ?

Yah but when does the forest come into view for the tree's ? Sure Petermen is great guy, has a great work ethic, & has a decent arm for the college game . But this is the NFL & like a coach once said it stands for Not For long if you can't produce in this league weather it be a player or a coach so this coach needs to see what's in front of him & do the appropriate thing . Because by Petermen continuing to d what he does on the field no matter how mentally tough the kid is eventually he will be ruined given what he has done to this point !!

Well maybe this injury is divine intervention i just hope that McD has the smarts to see that Petermen can not lead this team to a victory, the only victory he has is in his faith which is a great thing !! That being said Anderson has to be the next guy up & provide some veteran leadership both on & off the field which i think will help Allen in the long run which i will mention one last time i think it was foolish for McD to get rid of AJ !! Because as it looked from the time they brought him in it seemed to me the fan that they would let AJ take the reigns while Allen learned & even if they would have chosen Petermen as they did to start given what has happened AJ would have stepped in keeping Allen on the side lines . AJ then would have been able to take some of the pressure off putting Allen in before he was ready & if AJ would have been the one getting hurt Petermen would have shown exactly what he has to this point & Allen could have been put to the #2 spot while still not being on the field or at the very least having a few more games to learn as they thought they would do from the beginning . But Anderson is here now & maybe if the coaches realize Nate is not the answer or even close he can come in while letting Allen recover & if he does good let him play out the season & Allens reps to this point can be experience while learning behind a vet ...

After hereing some of the game last night i was thinking of writing a post with the same premiss I wonder what our offense would be like with these guys back on the team ? The only one that i could see not being here because he could have been bad in the locker room was Sammy due to some of his comments before he was let go but Woods, Goodwin & Hogan would have been monsters as they have shown for their respective teams as part of one unit here . But apparently while they were here the powers that be as we know because they are no longer here couldn't see what the other coaches saw in them so the new coaches decided to let them walk which i hope isn't something we should have to wonder about when looking at this regimes decisions down the road . Could ah , should ah , would ah ! GO BILLS !!

Well getting rid of AJ was huge mistake number one !! Keeping Petermen around is huge mistake number 2 !!

As the saga goes on the trade of AJ to the Raiders looks more & more foolish on McD & Beans part he should have been kept as insurance due to the fact that neither of there 2 other QB's had more than 2 starts together ! IMHO huge rookie type HC mistake !!

Good signing may even be better if included more in the game plan week to week he showed that the week that Shady was down & they used him as the lead back & Murphy as #2 .

Yah thats one i don't get the guy left his guts on the field & ran decent routes & after seeing the TD catch by O'leary i think that was another mistake letting him go & will go on to say he will burn us for a least one TD when the Bills play the Fins ...

Okay only half the time that Brady has been there did they draft a QB, Brady got there in 2000 & since then they have drafted 9 QB's & used a few for trade bait. I couldn't find out how many UDFA QB's they brought in since then but i'm thinking there may have been a couple in that time frame & although being a UDFA QB would bolster your claim that the Pats aren't a good example it may increase the over all amount of QB's brought in just saying ...
