  1. You understated how terrible that play was.
  2. Good for you! Always great when passion and opportunity line up
  3. Just for fun? Or do you have a website/blog? Or an excuse to hide from the wife and it’s cold outside?
  4. It was a joke, mr gump.
  5. Seems clear his point is hitting the ground unobstructed is still far less impactful than hits on any given play so why break the fall at all sometimes fair. It can be akin to alligator arms on a contested catch on some plays.
  6. Is officiating that drastically worse or is how we watch and what we demand shooting through the roof? Cliffhanger thread titles all over the place lately. Guys going for clicks instead of content like they get ad revenue off their threads.
  7. Ill admit I was on the Foster bandwagon when we traded back but very happy with white these days (was lukewarm on the pick as it felt like spinning our wheels instead of getting a the centerpiece for a LB driven scheme) milano I think still ends up a 3 or 4 guy on the depth chart at best. Good contributor, role player, and fill in but not a guy you want to lean on heavily or be the top of your talent pool at the position
  8. If he’s falling during the feet touching and football move he does.
  9. Well, I disagreed with your statement that he maintained control. As it moved (and the manner it moved in) seemed he lost having full control to me. That’s something that’s open for interpretation here (though VERY FEW are arguing it) as to bringing up the football move- it’s governing a different type of play. It’s as relevant as those arguing the ground can’t cause a fumble. There are lots of fun catchy phrases out there that don’t apply to establishing possession while going to the ground. Bringing them up can only lead others to believe you don’t truly get where the debate exists on this call. I don’t mean that in a snarky or degrading way- it’s just a fundamental misunderstanding of the rule on this type of play to talk football moves
  10. Well the last streaming contract signed latethis year jumped quite a bit. We will see what happens with tv. Sometimes networks get irrational with trying to win sports
  11. “Interesting.... also, is the milkshake machine working?”
  12. I get wanting ratings, truly I do. But I think it’s a little dramatic to play the “everyone has to play at the same time or else it’s unfair!” card. We dont expect any other sport to change the schedule on short notice to manufacture fairness. You play the games you get, and some weeks are harder on you and some are easier on you compared to teams around the league. If you get lucky and know whether or not your in before kickoff- such is life. As you note it’s definitely dollars that drive it though
  13. Ummmm since when was that a standard anywhere, ever also, since when did a game ending at 730 get deeply impacted by a party at midnight? seems drama on each and every side here
  14. or be confident enough in your ability to make your case as the expert and decision maker
  15. Yuuuup. always enjoy bowl season when folks roll in with “Ive seen upwards of 3 drives of this kids career and don’t know what those that do this professionally and watch every throw 8 times are thinking”
  16. I’d agree, barring injury or weird scheme issues. Assuming health and halfway competent use they are a good duo.
  17. Why would you rush into it instead over just carrying over the space and doing in 18? Maybe a little more flex on the amortizing I guess?
  18. I don’t think I’d disagree with any. In fact pretty close to my take. Not sure Sammy’s ability to handle complex schemes, but that’s simply an unknown not a disagreement.
  19. Go start a few for the dolphins then! Seriously though, i get they are human and all but if they run out of that tunnel less than 100% because a few fans hurt their feelings- yea, they aren’t leaders. Tolbert was kept on for leadership over skill and if he causes a distraction in the biggest game in a decade... well... it would only compound what a failure the move was.
  20. If tvey come out flat because of this they don’t deserve to be in the playoffs.
  21. Its true it’s not a rare skill set. I’d venture cadet is 3rd in that group and it took us half a season to even get that though. That it’s not a challenge to find a decent RB2 and that we were built to be a running team makes it all the more disappointing that we rolled into the season with the depth chart we did
  22. I’ll push on “similar” here— post their YPC and TD per target stats and see how similar they look. roll in Sammy facing the double teams, and having a lot of other options to target on the team.... well, I’d venture if Sammy lined up across from green the gap between he and lefell only widens
  23. While a valid concern... he’s not been awful outside one major injury that followed a predictable, albeit it slow, timeline also, when he’s out- someone steps up and plays and has production in his spot. So I’d argue Sammy producing that in 10 games plus whatever his backup does for 6 is better than lafell producing what he does in 16. Is rather be very good for a portion than mediocre the whole way.
  24. 40 fewer catches but more yards and TDs sure does point to Sammy being a different type of player.
  25. That you are talking football moves is irrelevant to that play, and shows only a marginal understanding of catch rules. I don’t mean to be rude, but you are wrong there. When going to the ground he can do whatever moves you want- he hasn’t completed the catch til he lands and maintained control. That it hit hit the ground by itself isn’t an issue but that it hit the ground and moved is an issue.
