  1. "2016 pro bowler might make 2017 pro bowl if he keeps playing well while now on a super bowl contender" isn't exactly a hot take
  2. Especially since the last quarter don't belong starting. It's kind of in quarters- top 8 franchise guys, next 8 good starters, next 8 you improve when you can but get by while you have them and bottom 8 dont deserve starting roles. That might skew a little here and there, and the rookies never fit in any ranking system well, but as a bar napkin guide it's roughly fair. Much like Fitz, TT is a starter but hasn't proven worth building around yet
  3. If he has that kind of 350+ carry season, I think we can call it the end of the road for shady.
  4. 21 is right about exactly where most even keeled folks here put him. Say, 17-24 ish
  5. It's definitely strange this far out with what a standard NFL procedure it is
  6. What will we see? If they intend on running a lot? Because deciding if these guys are credible is a discussion you have now, not later. I don't think they will be trainwreck bad or anything but given the lean on the run game most expect it'd be nice to have someone proven reliable instead of someone hoped reliable
  7. No one in the world is taking it serious. But given how much most expect to run the ball, it's about as reasonable as any other explanation for why our backfield has no one credible but shady
  8. I didn't follow close- I'll vouch that happened with the lsu byu game last week that moved from Houston to Nola
  9. Sammy semantics aside as my point was the wide volume of early rounds no longer represented.... so quibbling changes little-- If most contribute elsewhere would it be change your argument?
  10. It's not THAT much of the pie, and often the new host donates all profits to the effected team/stadium/vendors
  11. If you count Sammy as two, between cuts, trades and just letting people walk we let 4 first round picks and 5 second rounders leave this offseason. While I'm not stressing on some, that is a HUGE void in the team building structure
  12. Yea, when people say all you need is a qb they don't literally mean that you can roll out 52 fans from section 321 with luck, but that's practically where the colts are at. And luck has kept them competitive. If you have any faith in your gm, you expect to be an instant super bowl contender with the move.
  13. Charlotte likely sees challenges even if not extreme damages. You start getting into evacuating people from nearby locations and suddenly football creating traffic, eating up hotel rooms, filling flights, and so on can become something you just take out of the equation.
  14. It's easy to fathom- much like WR there are a about 1,000 guys that are pretty similar once you get past the top half of the crop. Come this crossroad in preseason many teams go with the guy they know and the guy that knows their system and fit the scheme. The body types and skill sets aren't quite as rare as some positions though That said, you can still let the wrong one go when choosing between two.
  15. It's not signing him so much as assuming the contract. That said, when cutting to get back to 53, unless there's a rule I'm unaware of you can just cut that guy. I've never seen it IMMEDIATELY done but pretty darn quickly
  16. Because we spend an incredible amount of resources on the unit, not because crossman is great
  17. But our coach is on record that TT is the guy and you read his leaves to mean he will never play another snap for us. Things get so blurry when you get deep in these benders, bob. Come back and join us in some real talk.
  18. Probably not, but what is the harm in seeing it? Odds are peterman isn't the guy either.
  19. With the NFL concussion protocol likely being stricter than any teams judgement, I'd say they are clear to play, no?
  20. We are just reading your tea leaves, bob. You don't have to say anything remotely close to our argument for us to assert what you really mean!
  21. There's really no rush though. Let Tyrod start and if he flakes out you can still make the move. No harm in seeing if he steps up first though.
  22. And yet all those things still give JW the tie breaker. As I said, short of obviously losing it is a head scratcher. They decided he lost and I think many here didn't see him actually lose. (as ktd notes perhaps by weighting considerations different though)
  23. Bobby, while sometimes insightful, also sometimes becomes drunk on his own ideas. Belligerent drunk. There's nothing out there to indicate he's done. Though he's unlikely to be the long term guy, and with that brings some kind of wild card factor in the situation, there's nothing indicating he would never take another snap.
