  1. A dramatic bunch. If he was confirmed as doing something truly crazy then sure... but what we have is that he was present in a bar with women who were not wearing much. Did he stay til 6am? Was he wasted? Do any drugs? or did he have a couple drinks, and enjoy the show?
  2. With only one other game you could probably just call it saints v Carolina
  3. Yup- its both hard to guess what offers he will see AND what he will prioritize. Highest possible average? Highest total? A safer deal with high guarantees but lower pay? Best qb? He could get a wiiiide variety of structures offered, and we likely ever truly see 1-2 and assume the rest. Some players are easy to peg but this ones a wild card.
  4. Its tough. Some players are near impossible to peg. my dark horse in this: New Orleans
  5. The age gap barely registers as neither is a 10 year answer at any age
  6. To be fair, Roman was a great run game guy not passing. That his passing scheme is really basic may have helped though. I think as a player hes been relatively consistent across 3 years and fan opinion dipped as his play didn’t rise. The jump many insisted would come never happened. He’s still just decent, when you step off the fan roller coaster of the last few years.
  7. We’ve all seen a lot of Smith. Some weeks better than other. I like him more than Tyrod, but not drastically. Due to logistics of existing contract vs acquiring a guy - Tyrod is probably a better option for pairing with a top rookie pick
  8. Thats a full 5-6 year deal you might get 33 isn’t that scary, it’s just a question of if you want HIM. I think he’s underrated but not good enough to trade a high pick and commit long term. If he’s cut, I’d consider it though.
  9. I was going to say similar. We have a great share of the “what was left and re-sale” market but they come in with a lead of 10s of thousands. We won’t outnumber them but should still have a formidable presence (and I’m guessing the mafia will be in rare form even by their standards) Edit - dug a little and there were claims of sell out prior to us even getting in so the roughly even split is of a relatively small pool of tickets. This won’t be the stadium at 50-50 or close to that but we will have a big presence still
  10. If calling them fair weather isn’t this when they would show up?
  11. Likely playing but either way worth making the jags think he will be
  12. Thats every team though- rosters turnover so fast in the nfl. You just have to pick the right cornerstones and back fill as well as possible
  13. Definitely. While I might nit pick some of the “did it work out” commentary (I’d trade those manning years for lucks past and hopefully future career 110% even with hindsight).... this is the type of thing that can be far more than day to day squabbles. I want personnel debate in the front office and think those arguments can be good- but I also want an owner that stays out of that debate... and think that the “franchise qb” debate is different than any other move for obvious reasons
  14. Even if you pay Gaines in the 8-10m range, I’d guess we likely have at worst average money locked up in the secondary, maybe less than average. That would be below average cb1 dollars, a rookie deal at cb2... Hyde is 18th on the safety list and poyers like 40th (so middle of the pack) i dont know where gaines ends up landing on the pay scale but we have some space before it becomes questionable to invest in the secondary
  15. I think that the owner picking a guy over 40 to be the qb of the future and ignoring the input of the football guys would qualify as more than a squabble. Obviously a unique situation in GB with ownership but if garrapolo proves himself this could be akin to moving Aaron Rodgers to get an extra year or two of favre. It has potential to be a franchise defining move for the next decade, and could have really impacted B.B.s legacy (if he got his replacement qb and kept going his stock soars) The flip side is JG could flop, making this a nice deal. But that ownership drove it and not the football guys seems real controversial and risky and not just a minor every day difference of opinion
  16. Given their takent up front, I hope we don’t see too much attention go his way. We have to win a lot of tough 1-1 matchups on the line. as to MD— he’s a talented guy and should show up. I don’t think he’s going to be breaking down route trees or our offensive audibles at a higher level than the coaches can with film though.
  17. Honestly - not a ton of guys played under marrone Kyle, Hughes, coincidentally deonte Thompson, brown, wood, glenn and Henderson is everyone that has overlap?
  18. My man. I’m trying to re-engage you in productive talk instead of you going off the rails on a Tyrod rant like you have in the past. my question wasn’t what if we are too low. It’s how low you think he accepts since you are absolutely positive he will take a drastic pay cut
  19. You don’t think a team like Jax would be interested? Picking too low to draft one and without an answer for next year
  20. And I wasn’t totally shocked last season. i would be surprised this season. How low do you think we can go before he walks? Maybe that’s a more productive way to frame this discussion
  21. How many paycuts and benching do you think he takes before he says “I could be the lowest paid qb in the league plenty of places” and has his agent call Jacksonville?
  22. Clearly he will do it EVERY offseason. Also in that list- how many people were arguing he had poor history with our brand new coach, for instance? You are doing that thing you like to do (especially with Tyrod) where you overstate things because you believe them not because they are factual.
  23. Hes already essentially the lowest paid starter in the league not on a rookie deal - I’m not sure he’s jumping to take a 20% pay cut from there.
  24. Why does he take less to stay? coach that benched him thinks race is a factor poor scheme fit not great receiver talent id venture he could find a better fit if we lowball him drastically
  25. If he hit at qb, and/or had a competent coach... his “other 52” were among the best in the league some years.
