  1. 3 games in you have to ask whether teams rank high cause they are good, or cause they played a bottom5 offense.
  2. Makes it sound like we should all be upset with the police system at this point... well... I guess... yea. Yes we should.
  3. Oh, definitely. The trick is minimizing them and hopefully not wasting the good weeks while maybe stealing a win or two on the bad weeks.
  4. You can never give a team no shot. We stack up as average to slightly below. Some weeks we will win convincingly others we will look bad. Same with every team. Ours likely skews a little worse than others though. But not drastically. Having that good day against a wild card contender is big for us though.
  5. As opposed to us? I don't think they are a contender but neither are we so it's probably debatable who would win head to head
  6. Ravens are good not great. Jags are decent not bad. Two teams like that have their "expected outcome" but can have huge variety in any given week. Especially in a setting like London.
  7. Or you put it on tape with no risk and force teams to watch for it down the line in close games where you don't want the risk but an extra step might make a play for you Or you have a variation off it you use later and they think they see you repeating it but you have the tweak ready
  8. "I thought he'd only say stuff like this to people I don't like, not to me and my friends!"
  9. Meh. As I said, avoiding politics in the commentary here, mostly noting what the displays will be and how widespread.
  10. Notto get political but today's big around the league story is the anthem... looked like a lot of knees, and players arm in arm. I assume we see A LOT of that today.
  11. I was out of town for this week but I'd be curious how big a bump in traffic this got. At a glance, it looks like a substantial difference based only on seeing a lot of threads bumped above this one
  12. He would be on a one year audition for unrestricted free agency. To not show up and run through a brick wall for the team would only hurt him. He wasn't an established superstar getting a big deal no matter how the season goes.
  13. Would I be crazy to say that if I trusted my qb to make the right reads pre-snap, then yes I would give him 100% freedom because I'd likewise trust he has a firm grasp over at least a fair portion of his own playbook. That's fair to a degree but in today's NFL you are always cycling new players, new coordinators, etc... it's rare you are carrying a ton of consistency. I will also admit that I carry some negativity from those awful two minute drills where TT had to stand and stare at the sideline -- until I see him making adjustments at the line and really running the offense with some autonomy it'll be hard to erase that frustration
  14. Truly it's not a great team to compare to... again, we are tearing down and they are building up. Odds are we are pretty comparable today but hope the in two years we have the limitless potential of a second year qb and a ton of weapons. Whether their qb or ours end up working out is anyone's guess but when you watch the 2017 rams, the comp point is the 2019 bills, not today's. Unfortunately, we might be a little behind them in that we are letting the young weapons go and hoping to replace them instead of keeping the youth and adding too them like the rams did. Additionally, we likely won't get a number one pick still. Crazy to pair those two statements but feels like both are true. So our qb might not be the top guy on our board and we might have a harder time giving him that trip of WRs and a good young back so quickly.
  15. Your day is in any measurable way worse because of it? Drink a beer, take a deep breathe and look at any of the 80,000 people standing if that makes you feel better about life
  16. You apparently expected us to be good? That's what gets rid of these.
  17. You don't think he's cognizant of some of their favorable government dealings that trump could put pressure on?
  18. Agreed though it bears careful watching. The president pressuring organizations to fire employees for dissent against the government is not a good look. Is his statement enough to cross the line? Probably not. Is it inappropriate? Certainly is. Do you think goodell was very cautious in his reply hoping to stand up for his players without receiving punishment? I do. And that's a problem.
  19. When you put just about anyone above him in value, it does imply some level of distaste.
  20. They are what we hope to be in two years, essentially. What they become is an unknown but second year qb, lots of young talent and a lot of hope. They might flop, but that's the reality of restarting like we appear to be doing too in two years we likely have "our qb" for better or worse, a lot of high draft picks and hopefully infusing some playmakers from outside
  21. I'll keep echoing that it makes sense if you buy he's weak pre-snap. It's much harder to throw intermediate over the middle (into the crowd) if you aren't reading the safeties and linebackers well before the snap
  22. Obviously I wasn't implying you hate him or wish him ill. I'm getting at "if you are worried about history repeating itself, what do you see as the cause?"
  23. I agree he doesn't deserve to be a #1 If we tendered him better he's also likely still gone now I think week one of 2017 if he were a bill he'd potentially be above the rookie and the late addition that didn't practice much and isn't a real #1 either though. Long term, who knows. And I'm no hogan lover.
  24. The peterman love is better than the jeff tuel obsessions. But not by a wide margin.
