  1. He at times openly discussed having those demons hes is a recovering addict that drank like a fish I’m surprised of the timing - but not shocked at all that he might end up here. Anyone that’s familiar with mental health and actually paid attention to him and not just watched with jealousy of his job likely picked up on him wrestling with stuff. He did a pretty good job of addressing those demons it seems but when that’s a daily choice to be alive- all it takes is one day of making the wrong choice and you end up here. Most of us rarely think twice of that choice, but some have to really make it conciously thousands of times without getting it wrong one time. I’m surprised on set, with his best friend is where he slipped... though he openly admitted that despite the life looking charmed, it was also very hard.
  2. Will that perhaps be more about funding security than discouraging bus trips?
  3. Its june. There are very few circumstances where “present” and “out for over 3 months” coincide
  4. Right, but for a team that spends TO THE CAP... that pulled money out of the year signed. The saints often tag extra years on short contracts to do that. The term “voidable” put aside, it’s a stupid salary they have no intention of ever paying and gets the player back into free agency when they want to get there (or paid handsomely) while allowing the team to shift a few bucks down the line. Putting a 9m salary may as well be putting a 30m for a guy like Klein. He’s not playing that season in a saints uniform under this contract. Why have the year then? Create the flow you want in the cap.
  5. Is 20 essentially a voidable year that both parties are not expecting to happen but helps spread a signing bonus a little?
  6. The dude is going to be turning 41 in camp. It’s clearly starting to set. Is this his last year? Does he have 2? Maaaaaaybe 3? A lot of posters started the countdown at like 32 years old for some reason which makes it feel like he’s beat the predictions forever... but at 41 it’s certainly a different story Statistically it was among his best seasons of the past 5-10 years. What would he have done with more energy in his game?
  7. Other than trivia, any reason to bring up her later charges? Or is there a reason it’d be tied to the story. Honestly, I only marginally know the situation.
  8. Of all the ways to callout Bennett’s history, this seems an odd method to choose.
  9. Sometimes we overthink the hell out of it all... when a guy regularly comes up short of the minimum, and rarely puts on a good showing.... well... yea, maybe he has bad receivers or mediocre protection but at least once in awhile you’d hope to at least see it flash with a big passing day. TT is a limited passer. That can win you some games still, and maybe even a ring if he gets hot at the right time with a great defense ala a guy like Flacco..... but you can look at those stats and say he’s not going to be THE guy
  10. I just hope neither guy gets dinged. I like milano as lb3 and first guy off the bench. As badol notes, he’s a college safety and he’s next to a rookie (who often wear down by end of year too). If he’s relatively affordable he would be a really great investment to add versatility and create depth.
  11. I think you may be overstating “by all accounts”
  12. Typically they don’t? Do tell, what kind of split is there on that? I disagree always. Just don’t spend the money and roll it over. But if an opportunity or need arises at least you have the flexibility.
  13. You are a monster
  14. Does the muslim brotherhood have a large Jewish contingent?
  15. Im not sure the CBs ahead of him on the depth chart either. Even in denim he might outplay them.
  16. I don’t even know Levi really but when you say it like that...
  17. To be fair, he’s won a lot of games lately but he wasn’t that good when coaching the dolphins. or were you talking about that long haired hippy fellow? Its tricky to tell with you when you start with the biblical references.
  18. Again, the difference between “proof of” and “raises questions about” do you really not see the difference between such phrases?
  19. Right, but if ones not totally emotionally invested in the guy, those poor decisions might raise questions about his character. One might refer to such a situation as a guy having questionable character even. No ones piling on the guy at this point.
  20. If we are trying to find guys on rookie contracts, and particularly day 3 ones that are starting based on skill, not need — the writer was pretty fair. Milano could be a candidate though. Hardly blasting the bills or anything though. Poyer is a good honorable mention. I’d skip Hyde as we paid him pretty well.
  21. Soooooo.... for the most part not really true. And definitely not the place to make that point.
  22. We really don’t know. The assumption is that it’s a continuation of his long term mental health issues with drugs possibly being layered in.... But that’s just a guess based on available context. He’s long had troubles though and this isn’t his first time being committed.
  23. Until he or those close decide to disclose info, we know what we will know. It seems he’s not ready to talk yet and friends/family are seemingly onboard. Or we likely would’ve heard something in the last month
  24. Ive always been on the fence with just how much it effected him. for instance, if he’s working on his speed and explosion - doesn’t that translate to WR skills? Or you mentioned his hands- were they ever a problem?
  25. This got you riled up enough to both comment on celebrityinsider.com and start a thread?
