I think the ravens are an easy favorite on paper, but I think this matchup is one that shows that on paper isn’t always the key metric. fingers crossed a healthy Bernard, Milano, Oliver, bosa, Rousseau can really impact Lamar.

because last years team drastically overachieved and this one is more likely to play close to that level but not above it? also 2024 draft class isn’t inspiring many around here and Hairston is dinged up. amari, vonn and rasul weren’t big losses. Palmer, bosa/hoecht, and Hairston likely all better. Hopefully one of Keon/bishop take a step forward. That said, last year overall was very healthy and mostly good bounces

the bills did come due. Last year. Thats what the bill coming due feels like unless you do something drastic and it flops spectacularly (aka browns with Watson) nah- he needs a pay cut or to progress towards release. Restructuring locks him in at his high price

Gabe Davis signing with the Bills (going to practice squad)
NoSaint replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
but in that token - I think Mack also added special teams ability, was a bigger plus in the locker room, had a better catch rate…. in a WR4 role, for instance, I very well may take Mack over Gabe. Mack has not just a goofy personality but a true on the field identity too. gabe will be fine but I’m not super excited to see him back in any capacity. -

I didn’t super deep dive his film or anything but I got to the point where I don’t think he’s particularly qb friendly. oft injured, not agile, doesn’t find soft spots particularly well in scramble drills, doesn’t win 50-50 balls…. What situation can you reliably call his number and look to him? Run blocking? I think he’s a low tier wr that Josh made look better (and who made Josh look worse)and we could find that in plenty of places without bringing in the baggage of big game Gabe. Maybe even with more upside. -

One of my least favorite moves in awhile. Once upon a time I was in the bad WR2 good WR4 camp I’ve aged into him being a bad wr that Josh made look like a passable wr4 If that’s true I’d rather just have a new guy in the room that won’t come with history -
It was weird for him to share about his square peg, but he was explicit in not being happy about using it for work
-
yea, even just keeping them honest with 1-2 going the other way, and a fake or two and suddenly the defense has to defend way more than 1 square yard
-
yea, we are all hoping for a step forward but I’ll add that bishop and Coleman are currently fringe starters in position groups desperately lacking starting talent nonetheless. They likely wouldn’t start in many many buildings

Seems like a good guy, so hate to see it - but this is very possibly the end of his bills career. Maybe even his nfl career. He doesn’t have much good tape, and even 2026 isn’t going to be great for him as he will still be recovering and lacking athleticism if he does get another shot. That leaves him a 4th year mid round pick with bad tape before he’s 100%?

Parsons traded to Green Bay, given $188 million contract

Unless the pack score first and are playing with a lead and it’s havoc all day trying to come back. Talk about complimentary football - score fast and create turnovers off the pass rush is my favorite I don’t count them as my favorite but this puts them in a spot to be in the playoffs and disruptive. From there it’s a little bit of luck either way. -

as often echoed in this…. personal liability with legal consequence vs integrity of the product in the field -

you miss that season where they wouldn’t let him kick anything but extra points basically, because of alleged injury -

it’s something this board would have rallied around at one point and still might on an off day Ultimately it’s something you say when you can’t pass and stop the pass but want to distract from that -
yea I could do without the personal gossip and whether his employees kept his private matters private…. But I do think shining light on skeezy medical people is not terrible for possible accountability

have a few fun black label shows under my belt honestly, I’d love to hear the reasoning on Hyde/poyer I don’t think Hyde was ever intended to play. I’m assuming same here. On a purely unemotional level - asst coaches and get a younger athlete prepared starting today I’m assuming it’s some family values angle that they take care of their own so buy into the system fully but even there… is poyer better off floating around on the practice squad or putting a coaching title on his resume? Seems teaching the man to fish by introducing his next career option would be totally appropriate

Sign him as a coach - you can have as many as you want.

I have to think at some point that your core demographic consistently and across the board raising concerns about the deteriorating quality of your product would raise concerns. while of course that could be a case of grumpy old men being a naturally complaint filled group…. it reminds me of espn thinking they had the magic ratings team and paying everyone only to later realize everyone was watching for Tebow news, not their newscasters and ratings plummeted when Timmy flopped. Could we be in a weird bubble where people are falling out of love with nfl football despite being highly engaged socially at the moment through things like fantasy football?

Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
NoSaint replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
part is there are only so many 6’6 guys that at 270 lbs can run a 4.6-4.7 forty so he exists at that size well and seems to like football -
wasn’t watching today but the coaches had to hate seeing him impressed by his own reverse spin out of the pocket the first game. just a terrible move 99% of the time and here he was acting like Garrett would be impressed

the nfl would absolutely love the ratings boost of a sanders sideshow. It’d be Tebow 2.0 with a mediocre qb that’s completely polarizing a GM would not. A head coach even less. it makes no sense to say the league directed teams to avoid him
