DK Metcalf is following Josh Allen on IG
RyanC883 replied to FeelingOnYouboty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd be for it if we traded back into the first. But not for #9. I'm still not sold that he's even the top WR in the draft. -
I hope you jinked the Pats** with that! Otherwise I liked the draft.

Interesting take by some BC people on Allen. I don't know much about him, but it seems like a better path would be to grab Isabella or Ridley in Rd. 3, then grab another Edge (Crosby?) later in the draft. But at least his last name is Allen!

If Winovich is this great, that makes me even more worried about Gary. How does he not produce with another potential 1st round talent on the line. Perhaps we can trade back into the first and get Winovich? I trust PFF a decent amount. Thanks for sharing that.

Some changes from last week's mock that had Q. Williams falling to the BIlls. Most interestingly: Gary (Edge-Mich) falls to 21; Winovich (Edge, Michigan) is taken at 32, that's the highest I've seen him taken. The Bills draft is great, although I may take someone else in the second--the guy who was drafted right after our pick, given the G/C versality. Also falling in this draft: Polite, Ridley, and J. Ferguson all go in the 3rd round. I can see us trading back into the 2nd or even 3rd a few times. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/three-round-2019-nfl-mock-draft-four-qbs-go-in-top-15-but-broncos-wait-until-round-3-steelers-target-offense/

Gary is terrible at #9. A guy with all world talent who has never produced. PASS. McGary at 40 is okay. I like Whiteside at WR as a redzone target.

Is Quinnen Williams the next Dareus?
RyanC883 replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd take Oliver over Williams. I think he'll be a better pro, and continually faced double and triple teams. Now, there is the issue that he went up against worse talent than Williams. But I do not think Williams will be the "bust" Dareus was. Marcell was good his first year, then got lazy, and had issues pre-draft. Williams does not have those issues. I think both Williams and Oliver will be great, with the slight edge to Oliver--who could be going #1 if not for an injury this year. -

2 picks in the first seems like a given to me...
RyanC883 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I also see this happening. Two scenarios here for me: 1. Someone the Bills want like E. Oliver or another player is there at 9. In that case, it will take a bevy of picks to make the Bills trade down. Likley, we pick at 9, and reenter the first to get Hock, another TE, a OL, or Edge player if one falls. I think this is the most likely, given the talent at some position that will be available at 9. 2. One of the LB's named Devin is there at 9, and our preferred DL target isn't. In that case, there are quite a few ILB needy teams behind us who get into a minor bidding war to trade up. If none of them do, it's not impossible we take Devin White if he is there. But I see the most likely scenario as a trade down, then taking BPA--hopefully Hock or Faint. -
hey man. glad to hear everything/everyone is okay!

300K plus at 2019 Draft in Nashville TN !!
RyanC883 replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That number is inflated. How many of them are twitter bots??!! -
in this scenario someone would trade up for Devin Bush (steelers?). But here, I’m not sure what to do for Bills. I’m thinking Sweat.

I think 49ers get Williams. Inside pressure is harder to find, IMO. Williams is a beast. But they really can't go wrong here. I like @ChuckWagon suggestion of J. Allen, that'd be interesting also.

Hypothetical Mock, Who would u select @ #9
RyanC883 replied to BillsFan1988's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
BPA is White. Our LB corp is now set for years. trade back into first or use second on Collier (Edge) from TCU, and draft DL Wise from Kansas later. -
1. I did not say it was a "terrible risk," but a "terrible idea" because of the risk. There is zero reward, and there is risk. 2. This event is totally different than a QB throwing during a game. The idea of "who can throw it further," is much more akin to a pitcher in baseball straining his arm to the max to throw a fastball, etc. During a game, a QB is throwing a variety of throws at various speeds, likely never "red-lining" their arm. This contest would involve throwing it as far as possible, ask., pushing your arm to its limit. That's dangerous.

Trent, Star, and Ivory did not suck. They performed basically as advertised. The prior year obtaining Poyer and Hyde completely turned around the secondary. Bean hits a lot more than he misses.
-
sounds like someone at the Jets to me. perhaps it is also an executive who is in competition with us for another FA like Ziggy and is trying to say ignore what the Bills did, they don't know what they are doing.

I love this new line. These are not just "get a vet" signings. Morse is a Pro-Bowl level center. He will be a tremendous help to the rest of the line and to Allen. I think Dawkins and Spain are also safe at T and G. I think either or both of Nsekhe (we need a nickname, I can't spell his name) and Long will have competition from a rookie, depending on how the draft falls. My guess is that it's Long, because the draft appears deeper at Guard (I could see us taking McCoy from A&M, making Bodine's backup spot questionable unless McCoy wins a starting spot at G.). Overall, the BEST part about this new OL is that it is much better than anything we have had in a while, and frees us up for BPA. If we draft an OL high, I see a trade-back into the first or trade up/back into the 2nd as the most likely scenario.

Lets get some Friday Mock Drafts in here. I would love this, our lines get nasty, but find it unlikely that some of these picks are available where I took them: 1: R1P9 DL ED OLIVER HOUSTON 2: R2P8 DL JEFFERY SIMMONS MISSISSIPPI STATE 3: R3P10 C ERIK MCCOY TEXAS A&M 4: R4P10 TE JACE STERNBERGER TEXAS A&M 5: R4P29 WR EMMANUEL HALL MISSOURI 6: R5P9 LB JAHLANI TAVAI HAWAII 7: R5P20 G DRU SAMIA OKLAHOMA 8: R6P8 EDGE MAXX CROSBY EASTERN MICHIGAN 9: R7P11 RB MYLES GASKIN WASHINGTON 10: R7P14 DL DANIEL WISE KANSAS

if anyone drops out, I'd join. Did it last year, lots of fun. Don't care what team I have, I'm ready!

Brian Burns Names Bills as Showing Interest
RyanC883 replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think LJ Collier (DE) TCU, and Burns both have the potential to be the best Edge rushers from this draft. Bucky Brooks of NFL Network stated he believes in a few years Collier will be the best of the bunch. That said, at #9, you take a "can't-miss" guy. Well, someone who is projected as can't miss. If Oliver is there, you take him. If Williams is there, same. Or, if a projected can't-miss is gone, trade down, get Burns, and Collier since you now have extra picks. -
