  1. not at all. Actually, down here in PGH, there are a decent number of Bills fans. I always go out of my way to talk to someone wearing Bills gear. But don't worry, in a few years when we win back to back SB's, everyone will have it on. Enjoy the novelty while it lasts !
  2. yeah, Ben throwing you the ball, with a great OL, run game, and other WR's. Now AB has?? an average QB. and zero run game to take pressure off him.
  3. or Hock, from Iowa But your point is spot on!! I can't think of a true dual-threat who is a TE who can score 10+ TD's and block. The best "dual-threat" of the last decade or so may have been Heath Miller.
  4. Great points. Yeah, I'll take the younger guy (Morse) with less wear on his body, and who hasn't given up a sack and I think only one QB hit since his rookie year? If they did, I'm not sure how PFF had Paradis as the better player.
  5. I see your point. Also, Cuse is a good team!
  6. If White is available at #9, you either: (a) draft him; (b) start taking calls from teams like PGH to trade down and get more picks. Then get someone like DL Simmons and Hock/Faint in the 1st (trading back in). White would be the BPA at 9 (likely Oliver is gone if White is there, IMO).
  7. I'm not sure sitting out a mid-tier bowl game is walking out on your team. IF a player skipped the college football playoffs, that is quitting on your team. Or even a New Years 6 game. But sitting out a bowl game to protect yourself makes sense. I wouldn't do it, I'd get insurance. But sitting out also gives another player (your backup) who worked hard all year the ability to play in a big game.
  8. wow. totally fakes out the center, and the other OL are too slow coming over to help. I'd take him at 9. I'm not sure Metcalf has much upside as a one trick pony, who failed to dominate the way his NFL comp. Megatron did in College. Metcalf was AWFUL in some combine drills, particularly the cone. Like, so bad, it makes you wonder if he even prepared.
  9. why'd they cut him? odd timing? suspension looming?
  10. not sure that karma will catch the Pats***, but Ed Oliver will catch Brady and end the dynasty as Brady gets happy feet and throws too many INT's to Milano covering slow Gronk. Meanwhile, Allen puts up a all-pro year. I don't live in Buffalo, so I can't listen to this show, but WTF. Of course Allen could have a worse season. That happens, then Barkely plays. More likely is that he has a better season. And how on earth do we have a worse WR group this year??? Do they drink/do drugs while doing this show???
  11. Would be great. We need a DT that can penetrate. Star can eat up the OL attention. We can still draft Oliver with Philon as depth.
  12. are you in gastroenterology? Your avatar makes me think this. If so, that's a great avatar!
  13. What a terrible article of random thoughts by Peter King. Reminds me why I stopped reading his nonsense. Bean "didn't bite." Why? Did he not like OBJ? What was the offer? "Didn't bite" tells NOTHING. Like most of King's posts, they are full of, "I have this inside source," then say absolutely nothing. And his non-football/sports rants are tiresome also. He goes off into wild speculation (i.e. women's apparel) when he could, I don't know, just ask a women's sports announcer (not all of whom are attractive or dressed in cocktail attire, btw). Just a terrible all-around article.
  14. humm.. I think Hurst is still playing? I think it depends on who is still available. I'd still go Oliver over him just for an interior disruptive presence, but I'd still take Sweat. I won't sweat Sweat's medical. It could be an "abnormal" (but normal) EKG that came back because he's so lean.
  15. so true! that Pats*** miss out on FA, and it's really some part of a "master plan" by Bellicheck.
  16. wouldnt mind Penn on a prove it deal. we have the cap space. could have a deep line.
  17. That sucks for the Saints. Trade Bodine for their second. Draft top center with that pick. Or trade back into first and do it. I think the Nc State kid can play Guard also. Groy mau be the best FA left for them.
  18. thats fine. he can fall to 9 and skmeone will trade a tin of picks to us!
  19. so, with Clayborn requesting to be released, and NE missing out on some FA's including Beasley and Humphries, where is the national narrative that no one wants to play for the Bellicheat/Grinch???
  20. With Miller now gone, I wonder who we pickup as a backup OL. Anyone have suggestions? I don't know enough about the guys on this list.
  21. this is what I'd like to do. High skilled players who can be huge difference makers when productive/healthy. I'd also add Cook to that list.
  22. I'm not sure. Seems a bit redundant with Beasley and Kroft and whomever we draft. I see him in GB back with Rodgers. It's how you run the Raiders!!!! there is that. He could be a good add if the speed is still there. has great hands, which is a plus catching 100 mph balls from allen!
  23. That would be awesome! None of these guys really have the HUGE K that says "i'll get it." If it was OL, you'd assume Josh. that should be the picture to recruit FA's to Buffalo!
  24. I think trading is a possibility. Say LB White is available. The Steelers NEED an ILB. They would likely swap 1st and give us a 2nd or 3rd. That'd be hard to pass-up, esp. if we think one of the Iowa TE's is available at 20, and get an Edge before the draft. ON THE OTHER HAND: Say something crazy happens like Bosa, Williams, or Allen is available at say 4. I could see a trade-up. The Raiders are crazy? Perhaps Zay Jones and our 1st to trade up. Most likely: we stay where we are and choose between White and Oliver. A great problem to have, IMO! Then trade back into the first and grab an OT.
