TSW Mock Draft 3.0 Final - Completed
RyanC883 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
@Virgil How do we trade down. Do the Bills start taking offers if Trade Down wins? -
Between a blue-chip WR and a blue-chip OL/DL/LB, you take the later all the time. No team wins a SB because of a "disruptive" WR. You can win because you have a disruptive OL. The difference between DK and a WR who is available even in round 3 is not that great, IMO. The OL/DL "elite" pickings go down after Rd. 1. IMO

I'm not Sweating Sweat's condition. They tested him, and still let him perform at the Combine. That would not happen, IMO, if it was very serious. If he is there at 9, I'm taking him. I do not buy that he is "off of team boards," and that teams expect him to fall out of the first. This sounds like teams at the bottom of the 1st hoping to land him.

TSW Mock Draft 3.0 Final - Completed
RyanC883 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
@Virgil thanks for doing all these. In. Steelers or Dolphins. (will take any team, however) -
is he on the Raiders roster? I hope he does well. He was always a class act. Yes, he was terrible, but he was never an a-hole, or gave the impression that he was giving less than 100%. I think he began to take too many chances, leading to his horrendous INT streak. If he can fix that, he can still be a decent NFL backup. Not really a fan of the jokes about him. He's a good dude, just wasn't a great player here.

With the 9th pick the Bills take MLB Devin White
RyanC883 replied to maryland-bills-fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If White is there, I 100% want him. As you stated, there are DT's who are available later who are good fits. I'd add WIse from Kansas, who is my draft sleeper along. Guy was very-productive for Kansas, likely he was double teamed often. You get White, take a WR/TE in 2, or trade back into 1st, then grab a DT from your list and a RB later. -
this is a fantastic suggestion. At this point, it's become like an addiction to try to beat it. But it never works. I think I quit, unless someone has a suggestion. well, didn't know about this!

@Virgil and @BuffaloHokie13 thanks for organizing and running. I'm in for the 3 rounder. I'd take one of the same teams (Steelers/Dolphins) or another team. I just love mock drafts.

This game has me lost. No matter how I try to "game" the game, it won't give me anything above a 32,000 and change. Look at this below draft. All picks are A+, but the draft comes back and says, "A." (no, this is not a real draft I would do for the team, but I'm trying to get a high score on First-Pick). I even read an interview with the guy who runs the site, he stated the key is obtaining a 1st rounder next year. I even did that. What the heck!! Any suggestions! Your score is: 32234 (GRADE: A) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 22 (BALT): Andre Dillard, OT, Washington St. (A+) Round 4 Pick 29: Carl Granderson, DE, Wyoming (A+) Round 5 Pick 9: Bryce Love, RB, Stanford (A+) Round 5 Pick 20: Ben Powers, OG, Oklahoma (A+) Round 6 Pick 8: Darius Slayton, WR, Auburn (A+) Round 7 Pick 9 (CINN): Jalen Hurd, WR, Baylor (A+) Round 7 Pick 11: Stanley Morgan Jr, WR, Nebraska (A+) Round 7 Pick 14: Wes Hills, RB, Slippery Rock (A+)

Draft: Guys that PFF loves more than the consensus
RyanC883 replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like some of these guys. Scharping, Long, Saunders, Crosby, and Coney could provide great depth to start with at key positions. -
Hopefully they do this in NY next year. I think the difference is, at least they can go outside at some time. (evening, early AM). In the middle of the winter, albeit only for like 1-3 weeks, it's way too cold to ever go outside. At least, it is now, wasn't when I was younger. But the negatives are too much.

nice additions to the secondary. !
-
Will be at the game in PGH, and likely at CLE. !! Both are easy drives from Buffalo, or Pittsburgh where I am.

With the 52nd pick of the draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers, select Deebo Samuel, WR--South Carolina. The Steelers would have taken ILB Mack Wilson if he were available, but now, the value is in replacing an ultra-athletic WR with another ultra-athletic WR. The Steelers are happy to be able to get a WR with speed and great hands at this point in the draft, and can't wait to move him all around the offense to confuse opposing D's. He'll be a great #2 for JuJu. We also look forward to his game-changing kick returning ability. @whatdrought and the Raiders are now on the clock.
-
With the 51st pick of the draft, the Miami Dolphins select Elgton Jenkins--C--Mississippi State. The Dolphins continue to build its OL to protect Dan Marino --oh wait, he's no longer a Dolphin? Um, I mean, Ryan Fitzpatrick and next year's rookie. @RyanC883, and the Steelers are on the clock.
-
With the 48th pick, the Miami Dolphins select Kaleb McGary, OT--Washington. The Dolphins are excited to be able to add a quality OT to their abysmal looking OL to protect Tannihel this year, and whomever we pick next year. @bkep32 and the Browns are on the clock!

Buffalo Bills Schedule Leaks
RyanC883 replied to FitzShowUsYourTitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
would love Bills v. Cowboys on Thanksgiving. -
I just think there are better options later in the draft. With Metcalf, it's all about drafting projection. He was not uber productive in college. He has route-running issues. I'd rather take DL at 9, and go with someone like Butler or Harmon (if you want size/speed --size with Harmon), or Brown or Cambell or Isabella later if you want speed. The draft is just too deep at WR to take a gamble at #9 when you have so many other needs (ex. DL).

What would it take to make the franchise tag go away?
RyanC883 replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm just enjoying reading everything here. Lots of great ideas (not that I agree with them all) from many knowledgeable posters. Great topic, OP @whatdrought! -
@BuffaloHokie13 Apologize to me!. you just took one of my picks for the Dolphins. ?
-
Yeah, I was thinking about Wilkins, but I think Simmons is a better player, and won't impact MIA's tank effort this year. Baker and Murphy were close. I think Baker fits the mold of a PGH CB better than Murphy. But those players are all soo close to eachother. IF you look at a lot of rankings, you'll see Simmons ahead of Wilkins and vice versa. Baker and Murphy also swapping places in others. Also liked the fact that Simmons faced a lot of double teams and was uber productive, and Baker played in the SEC against some great WR's.
-
With the 20th pick of the draft, the Steelers select DeAndre Baker, CB, Georgia. The Steelers hope this does not turn out to be another head-case, but the talent and production is too much to pass up. @Watkins101 and Seattle are now on the Board.
-
With the 19th Pick, the Miami Dolphins select DT Jeffery Simmons, DT, Mississippi State. This is perfect for the Dolphins. They get a top player who does not harm their ability to only win a "few" games next year because he will not be available until later in the season. The Tank for Tau is still alive with this pick. @RyanC883and the Steelers are now on the clock. oh, that's me.
