  1. don’t get my hopes up!
  2. D Hop and Robinson in round 1 may be a good replica of this without getting Henry’s money and need for 15 carries to get into a rhythm. Draft OL in 2nd and 4th in this case.
  3. he has been awful in Pgh. Outplayed by the backup.
  4. F. we keep getting average players to plug holes, win’t cut it with Bean’s awful draft record. The WR signing was a total waste of money that could go to OL. who did we get at backup qb?
  5. this. years of control, plus rookies played well on SF and Miami last year when needed. If we have the weapons around JA that we need, we should be able to eek out a .500 if JA misses time. I get this point. But I'd argue you can win the SB with a backup. SF nearly made it, and the Giants beat us in 25. Other teams have won SBs with backup level QBs (Eagles recently). It's hard to do, but that's why I'd go with a rookie backup. You could win, and if you don't, you get a Jamar Chase type in the draft.
  6. don't get my hopes up. It's likely that Bean gets a LB to fill Edmunds, I hope it's an impact player, even for 1-2 years so a rookie does not need to start ASAP. That said, I don't want to overpay (even Klien would be ok) at the determent of a WR or another OL.
  7. now we have to get Campbell! or another WR. or D. Foreman.
  8. seems like a Staffold-plus pickup to me. hope I'm wrong. Like a solid starter, but I'd still draft one.
  9. now get the other McGovern and other Josh Allen. in all seriousness, seemed like there were better guard FAs available. Hope this won't prevent us from drafting a great G/C in the 2nd if one is there.
  10. I like this back and forth here. I think we can get a lower priced WR (Parris Campbell) and a stud OG. Shore up the line in any way possible, and you let the WRs routes develop. I also agree it's easier to draft and play an OG/C than a WR.
  11. I hope you are correct. I think the issue is that it was the same as Dorsey, it didn't evolve and in some ways relapsed. You need to be multiple in how you attack defenses. With our current OL that presents issues, but the play calling seemed stagnant after the 1st games and other teams had us "figured out" with minimal adjustments, particularly only putting up 10 vs. Cincy.
  12. do we have a backup OC ready for in-season. If Dorsey starts the year like he ended it by wasting our ability to attack Ds in multiple ways, we need an OC who is not learning on the job during a SB window. Perhaps Dorsey as Assist OC in that situation. I agree, trade but not cut. I think it depends on the draft. If you get the WR from BC or UNC, you don't need McKenzie with Shakir and the rookie.
  13. if we don't get draft a RB early, he along with McBride from UAB and the guy from Oklahoma seem to be nice complements to Cook. My ideal situation would be to get Foreman, and draft one of these guys late (unless Robinson falls to us. Then we either draft him or trade back. I'd have a hard time not drafting him)
  14. don't be Dopey. He wants some OL to block for Josh and Robinson
  15. SB hinges on “navigating the draft well”. Yeah, hope the scouts from years past have been replaced.
  16. Main issue with Green Bay is generally being over reliant on a stud QB and average offensive talent around him.
  17. Agreed. I'd go FA to replace Poyer (Rapp from LA),and draft a Guard/Center (Avail from TCU or Tippman from Wisconsin, swing at Patterson from ND in a later round).
  18. Agreed, it's also the right thing to do after they screwed him perhaps permanently. If he is healthy and plays like he was, then this is a good deal for Miami.
  19. I'd only do this. As big a "disappointment" as Davis has been, he's really only disappointing because of the position the FO put him in. He's a 4th round pick who is what he is. Good at what he does, with some bizarre drops. He's a solid #3. I'd rather draft a WR who can become a #1 or complement Diggs and Davis than create another hole. Getting a 1st rounder lets us draft that back, but anything in the 2-3 is risky. Good point, if we have a replacement plan for Davis in FA then I'm fine getting a 3rd for him. That could be a OG or impact RB or a 1 trick WR like the kid from Houston. (I know, people are like--not another 3rd round RB. But Tank Bigsby could go there).
  20. The Bills do overpay, but I think it's a Bean thing more than anything else.
  21. well, the first part about roster filling is correct. Then it’s grab the top D player in round 1, preferably a DE 😜
  22. this would be amazing. Like an all ACC team almost
  23. Mattison would be great if we can't land Foreman. The others intrigue me also. Thanks for putting the list together!
  24. Here is Pro Football Network: 27. Jaxon Smith-Njigba WR Ohio State 59. Steve Avila OG TCU 91. Jack Campbell LB Iowa 130. Roschon Johnson RB Texas 137. Jonathan Mingo WR Ole Miss 205. DeWayne McBride RB UAB Overall I like this draft. I wish I could have acquired an OT, but I have 2 impact WRs, an OG/C, Edmunds replacement; and 2 RBs--I should have taken a safety over McBride.
  25. I really like the first two picks here, solidifies the T and C/G positions. Dell is a bit of wildcard given his size, but is super productive and has a great catch rate, could become another T. Hill type guy. I like Williams and Hickman as solid replacements for Edmunds and Poyer. Gray in the 7th seems like a steal and a great compliment to Cook.
