  1. Sirnoski (sp) OT should have been the pick.
  2. Great, this sounds fun. My guesses are above in bold!
  3. rolling with Spencer Brown is a repeat of the same mistake made with Gabe Davis last year: pinning hope for a very important position on improvement. We need guys who can do it, not using hope as a strategy here.
  4. Avila here. We need OL upgrades before anything else. Only 1 of our returning OGs (including FAs) were in the top 50 guards. Won't cut it. Avila can play C/G or even tackle at a high level. something like 4 pressures on around 440 passing snaps last season. I'd also be okay with one of the OTs remaining here.
  5. why wait? would fit in perfectly with some of our DEs
  6. Anyone else trying to copy a PFF mock draft today and getting an error message that the file is "too large?" Is there a work around, or is this a PFF draft-day present?
  7. I’m beginning to wonder if we are going to trade up for an OT.
  8. I think the IOL will offer better value than an OT in round 2, but I agree the RT position would be a more valuable upgrade. Ideally Bergeron will be available, if not, Avila would be ideal as he can play tackle in a pinch (played RT his freshman year quite a bit).
  9. take Hopkins, get IOL and DT/Edge in 2nd.
  10. i hope so. The current draft picks in Rd. 1 (outside of Allen) have been underwhelming.
  11. really don't like anyone beyond Addison at that pick from this list (perhaps Harrison). Addison would be the pick for all the reasons you mentioned. He's ready to go Day 1 and is really another WR1. Great pick. Harrison is okay, but I'd go with Wright over him. Given your simulation, I'd def want one of them here, however, if Addison is gone. Mazi Smith: we are in win-now mode, Smith likely does not help much next year, or eventually in future years. But this does seem like the classic Bean over-reach.. Simpson: pass. LB is a hole, again, we need offensive playmakers. As you said, there is likely someone in the 2 or even later rounds. The guy we draft won't need to start. Murphy: awful pick. Way too inconsistent. Mayer: would be okay with this, but only if the WRs, and OTs are gone. He's a great run blocker and would enable Josh to have dump-off passes. But really, I'd prefer an IOL like Avila or Tippman here over a TE in a deep TE class.
  12. I can't see us passing on Wright in that situation, nor can I envision Harrison going before Wright at OT.
  13. My favorite so far, from PFN: (top 3 seem highly unlikely to be available in those slots) 27. Bijan Robinson RB Texas 59. Joe Tippmann OC Wisconsin 91. Matthew Bergeron OT Syracuse 130. Jaquelin Roy DT LSU 137. Dontayvion Wicks WR Virginia 205. Anthony Johnson Jr. S Iowa State
  14. I was between Flowers and the 27/34 swap with getting Hopkins. Went with Hopkins because he has the production history and will create a situation where you cannot double him and Diggs. Use 34 for IOL and get Tank Dell, trade back into 2nd if needed. I’d be fine coming out of the draft with 3 players who can make an impact next year.
  15. if Bean does not expect our pick at 27 to start year one, then he either: (1) needs to be fired, because there are players that could start year 1 on this team available at 27; or (2) is wasting a pick on another project, when we are in win-now mode. this has to be a smokescreen.
  16. With the 19th pick in the draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame. Tampa actually has a horrid draft slot for what it needs most: a top tier OT or DE. All were taken by the time this pick rolled around. Also considered Steve Avila and would trade-up in the 2nd to get him (does Tampa have a 2nd, don't know). Tampa needs to better protect the QB and OL all-around. Mayer helps that by providing a great run blocker and safety valve should the OL not improve this year. Tampa would like to get Avila and Burgerson (OT) later in the draft. The Seahawks and @GunnerBill are on the clock.
  17. pick incoming get a dislike for taking my guy for Tampa
  18. AFC Championship game v. Raiders in 1991. My Dad and I watched all the games that year, and I had Bills everything (was 9 years old--jacket, hat, garbage can, etc.). But, someone had a birthday party at a local roller skate rink. Luckly the TV had the game on in the background, but by the time I looked up at it the game was already out of hand. So I saw some of it, but did not really get to watch it.
  19. I'm beginning to think that for the most impact next year, we draft almost all offense, with perhaps a DT in there. WR, TE, RB OT, OG, whatever. This draft was all WR, OL, and a DL. 27. Quentin Johnston WR TCU 59. Gervon Dexter DT Florida 91. Matthew Bergeron OT Syracuse 130. Andrew Vorhees OG USC 137. Jarrett Patterson OC Notre Dame 205. Andrei Iosivas WR Princeton
  20. today's draft. Went heavy on offense. Was happy with how this turned out. Also not sure how Neilon is a D, his PFF grade is a 90 what simulator is this? nice draft
  21. I may be tempted to go OL, even a 2nd round rated IOL in the 1st, and grab TE in the 3rd in this scenario, but what you described also sounds awesome/very difficult to defend. i don't think there are any of those sorts of WRs available in the draft this year in the 2nd. And no, I also don't trust Bean to find a good WR.
  22. "get off my lawn." living outside of Buffalo, I like seeing Bills fans around outside of Buffalo.
  23. Bucs, Ravens, Giants, anyone is fine with me.
  24. With the 51st pick in the draft, the Dolphins select Chandler Zavala, G, NC State. The Dolphins bring protection for Tua (allowed 4 pressures on 422 pass-blocking snaps last year) and a guy who can also block for them in the run game. The Dolphins also have needs at TE and other OL positions, but our top choice here got poached by Tampa (Bergeron, OT-Syracuse), so we solidify the interior of the line here with a great pass blocker who is also good at run blocking. The Seahawks and @NewEra are on the clock.
  25. stole my pick!!! great pick
