  1. if CPI underestimates inflation, then @Einstein point is still correct, the paper raised it’s prices in response to inflation. His CPI calculator showed the paper today at $28, and if underestimated the paper should cost more.
  2. Come on Hop. Just sign here already
  3. the Wall Street Journal is $4 a month. The Athletic is $1 a month if you hit both with promos. Perhaps Buffalo News has a promo? they should run ads like any other paper. The people who work for large businesses are also neighbors.
  4. I think Von will be fine. This was a less serious tear than the one from his 20's. Also, we have Floyd to cover in Von's absence. Greg R. shows up when he has someone opposite him to take blocks. Hyde should be fine. Poyer did get beat up, that's likely the result of playing too much and covering too much at the position due to Hyde being out, and now we have a healthy Hyde and Rapp to take the load off Poyer. I'm more worried about whether we will continue to see the passive defense of the past few seasons or a more aggressive D that can get it done in the playoffs.
  5. Really, with Rapp it's almost a trio back there. Interested to see how Rapp is used.
  6. I agree with you here, but I think some more context with the bolded is warranted. The Bills do have a choice, and it appears they made strides to addressing this during the past offseason. What is the choice: stopped the designed runs, the short yard plunges, and use a short passing game and/or a short running game to get those yards, along with an improved IOL. The Bills brought in good short yardage WRs, and 2 RBs who are capable of picking up short yardage gains. They also have a RB, Cook, who should be explosive in a screen game/Kamara like usage situation. Now that Josh can get rid of the ball quicker with YAC WRs like Kincade, TEs like Knox, and have the threat of a running game, he hopefully won't need designed running plays (at least until the playoffs), and won't need to scramble to pick up as many first downs with WRs running a variety of route options. All that said, if he needs to scramble to get a 1st, go for it. good points! But RBs have shorter careers than other positions for a reason. We don't want Josh as a QB/RB.
  7. While Disney may be able to purchase Netflix, I have a hard time envisioning a Disney acquisition passing antitrust review since it also owns Hulu.
  8. from what I read Knox and Kincaid are there. And Allen is there passing to the TEs.
  9. hahaha. where was he shopping? Had to be somewhere in Fla?
  10. is the game on TV?
  11. what about Vonte Davis. He could lead the Charge, then stop and go back into the tunnel! I mean, he is a legend.
  12. Kellerman surprised me. Liked Around the Born back in the day. He knows boxing and will likely get picked up by someone.
  13. well, glad the Pats fan likes it. Wasted money is wasted money. .
  14. Thanks. This is helpful. I might wait till near the season to see if there is another promo for Sunday Ticket.
  15. this is a drought era Bills move. Clearly done in hopes it will elevate QB play. He’s not a TO type player though so it makes zero sense.
  16. Terrible news. Wanted him on the Bills also. Not sure why he didn’t make it in the NFL with that cannon arm. Seems like a ton of rip currents in that area and not enough training/postings/warnings about what to do if stuck in one.
  17. The city causes the state to focus on it. WNY might be a poor state without the city, but it would have focused on keeping large businesses that started here and their jobs in state. Also, revenue needed to keep the rest of the state, WNY operational is much less than with NYC included. The rest of the state may be able to balance a budget, etc.
  18. I like all of Elam, Benford and Jackson. But the staff needs to let Elam play more for him to show what he has. And let him play press/physical.
  19. I don't get him going there. No pass game to take pressure off him. Seems a place like the Chargers would be a better destination if he wants to set himself up for another contract. But this work for me. Also, agree with @BarleyNY, odd the article refers to NE as a "contender," although, it's what made me click on it.
  20. Don't see this moving the needle much for NE. https://www.msn.com/en-US/news/nfl/rumor-former-cowboys-rb-ezekiel-elliott-now-projected-to-sign-cheap-deal-with-afc-contender/ar-AA1cOMil?businessvertical=Sports
  21. Fair points, but this assumes there was a need for this position/job responsibility during game day. Second: would have preferred Holcomb, Shula, Brady, or Babich (in no particular order). I'd rather Washington focus on continuing trying to improve the DL.
  22. Frazier stayed much longer than he should have. The 13 seconds should have been his exit. Then he was never fired, he left after then Bengal debacle.
  23. how many of those sacks came when Von was out? Or in the Bengals game against a backup OL. The DL was PUTRID when it mattered most, and Basham and Groot were not great when Von was out.
  24. if this is true, it’s really ball hog bad. if it’s just I want to freestyle and I’m good at it, that’s one thing, but being angry at plays being followed by others and demanding the ball is absurd when you have what someone else pointed out as an over 1/4 target share.
