How do the Bills win the Super Bowl next year?
RyanC883 replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, Josh needs to go off, but for that to happen against top teams we need: (1) develop a threatening running game; (2) improve the OL; (3) improve WR beyond Diggs; (4) make passing game more unpredictable, involving TE’s, RB and WR in it. This can actually be accomplished next year with individual player improvement, OC improvement, and good drafting. On D we need to stay healthy, including Von getting back to health. Having another DT or backup safety would be nice, but not necessary. Also, perhaps Oliver goes nuts in a contract year. -
TSW Mock Draft Poll - Who Should the Bills select at #91
RyanC883 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Close between Battle and Zavala for me, but we need a guard next year, so Zavala wins. Allowed only 4 pressures last year. -
I’m more worried about the OT from Oklahoma, seems he needs another year to be ready. I think Jones may fit here due to his athletic ability that goes well with a running/mobile QB. Not my top OT choice and may prefer a G/C like Avila over him.

Nyheim Hines auditioning for "Fan Favorite"
RyanC883 replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
yeah if this was TX C I’d be more concerned. This is cool. Mike Piazza used to go to bars and play drums after games in San Diego (at least one time I was there). -
yeah, no way Pickens is being traded. He and Pickett are going to be a thing for a while.

What Buffalo Bills draft choice surprised you the most on draft day?
RyanC883 replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bernard: who, why? We have LBs. Basham: what, we just drafted a DE, and the top IOL is on the board, and we need OL help. TJ Grham: Really thought we would draft R. Wilson. What a terrible, awful pick, trading up and then grabbing a JAG receiver. -
With the 75th selection, the Atlanta Falcons select Nick Herbig, Edge, Wisconsin. The Falcons still need an upgrade at their pass rush, and while Herbig is a bit of a "Tweener", unlike Maybin, he has multiple years of solid production at Wisconsin. Also, he can drop into coverage, another area where the Falcons have needs. The Ravens @NeverOutNickare on the clock.

Who are considered the "Can't Miss" prospects in the draft this year?
RyanC883 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good list, but Joey Porter Jr. is an interesting addition. I hear he has issues with playing the ball rather than the receiver (very sticky in coverage, but not elite ball skills). Of course, I haven't watched him almost at all, and he does seem like someone you could flip to safety if the ball skills become an issue. I'd put the OT from Northwestern (who I can't spell) in here also. I think he is at worst an above-average OT/OG, and pans out to be a pro-bowl type OG. Freeney had the issue of being small, that' why he went #11 (as I recall). I think the NW OT/G becomes a stud following the draft this year. I think B. Robinson is better than Portis. -
I totally agree, I'd rather have an A. Donald than a space eater. But DTs who can provide consistent pressure seem to be nearly nonexistent these days, and a space eating DT allows a LB to provide a rush, and/or take a blocker away from a DE like Miller and Groot, and/or push the blocker into the pocket. There are a few "athletic" space eaters that appear to be available later in the draft.
-
yes, then draft a space eating DT in rd 3-5.

Dwayne Haskins killed [Edit: struck by vehicle]
RyanC883 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t know, depends how defective the breaks were. Also likely not the drivers job but the company/maintenance vendors job to ensure breaks were correct. This won’t bring back Haskins, but driving a large vehicle like that without appropriate breaks puts everyone on the highway in danger. -
perhaps best non OL draft I have seen.
-
I wanted OBJ, but this is insane.
-
After getting no rush against Bengals backup OL we need DT help. Would love Mazzi Smith but he likely goes too high for a blocker/space eater. The DTs from Texas, Wake and Wisconsin come up up in my mocks. Can’t recall their names.

New stadium cost goes up from $1.4 billion to $1.54 billion.
RyanC883 replied to cba fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
cancel it. build dome. -
they should be unhappy and let Bean know it. All this “we want Josh to run less” is absurd when you don’t get him another top WR or top OL help. perhaps, but have to disagree. Even in your scenario, JA can’t be happy with Diggs going off, and JA can’t get Diggs the ball when Diggs is doubled and JA has little time behind an awful line. I think it’s reasonable to assume they are both unhappy, JA just handling it behind closed doors.

and if this happens and Smith turns out like the other DE Bean drafted Bean should be fired. Would hate this pick. Seems like he needs another year before contributing. Get a day 1 impact guy if trading up. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/nolan-smith/3200534d-4953-6848-fd4d-2f73557d06ca he was high on my Falcons list before I traded down. A great pick for PIT who needs another CB.

guy is a stud and has a nasty streak to his game also.

i mean, the Board along with me will implode at D, D, but overall a good draft with offense help coming with Johnson and Patterson and Wheaton Dorian Williams will be a good player. Rather take him in the 4th but seems to be moving up. how does Mingo get an F. unreal. love that pick

Cover 1 Just put out a new Mock Draft, Edge round 1.
RyanC883 replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
Edge is terrible at 27. There is no top talent projected there. There is the option for high end slot, TE, RB, and OL, and if you need D, safety and perhaps DT (Mazi Smith). -
Tyreke Hill vs. Ja'Marr Chase vs Justin Jefferson - Contract management
RyanC883 replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Bengals keep Chase, and let the other talented WRs on its roster walk. Minn is interesting. Hock played well there, if he continues on that path, they may part with Jefferson if they feel he provides the bang that Kelse does--on the other hand, Minn needs to find a top 5 QB first. Otherwise, I think you keep Jefferson and a top 20 QB and hope the overall team gets the job done. -
Cam Newton open to backing up Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen
RyanC883 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
how'd Cam's workout look. I know his arm "was" shot, but perhaps a year off got it back into shape.
