also could be that Frazier has not put him in a position to be effective. He seems more of an OLB to me, and gets washed out by blockers rather easily. could Edmunds be moved to DE?

I'm glad Diggs is brining attention to this issues this team has. Give me 10 more guys like him. Bean seems to love his fire.

With Oliver Value Goes Beyond the Stat Line
RyanC883 replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
i get this, but there are threads on this forum with (X) player was hurt all year. Every player gets banged up. Every team that is left has players banged up. Perhaps Oliver was more than others, but it's getting tiring at this point. I think he was a huge miss at No. 9. He's never been someone the O has to account for because he is too small. -
Your Offseason Upgrades to the OLine
RyanC883 replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
draft Patterson from ND (G/C); or Tipperman from Wisconsin (G/C); and Bergeron (OT-Syr) or Wright (OT-Tenn) or Kirkland (OT/G-Washington). I'd def want Patterson, who allowed 0 sacks through his Jr. year, then would target Kirkland if available, then Bergeron (who played R and L OT) and Wright. Come out of there with one of the G/C and one or two of the OTs. Trade back into the second if there is no top WR in the 1st, and Robinson (RB) is not available. Here is how it could look: LT - Dawkins LG - Patterson/Bottegger backup C- Morse, Patterson backup Bates or draft pick RG - Bates (competes with draft pick Kirkland if he is the OT pick) RT - Brown (competes with draft pick Bergeron/Wright/Kirkland) Line should be improved. I'd be open for a FA, but likely costs too much and would rather get WR or LB to replace Edmunds. -
if we can let both go without dead cap that may be the best thing to do. We can draft someone who can return kicks, and also draft another RB. Use the cap savings on WR, OL. you'll get downvoted for this, but he profiles as the rare back that is a do it all game changer (although I would not trade up for him).

Franchise in trouble- Josh Allen has regressed

agreed. particularly when spending assets on D gets you Basham, overrated Groot (a good complementary DE), and AJ. -

what’s a poor way to have a conversation is attacking posters you disagree with. But keep at it. The DL was awful—all year. And the injury excuses are weak. The Bengals OL was more injured and we generated NOTHING against it. Teams ran on us at will all year, and we likely lose to MIA if their starting RB was available (really twice, MIA and GB inexplicably stopped running in those regular season games). But keep enjoying the status quo and early playoff exits. What are the excuses for the last few years? Would love to hear them. Eagles: Fire SB winning HC. Return to NFC Championship game soon thereafter. -

Frazier needs to go, not random positional coaches. The D in the last playoff losses has been abysmal. talent sucked on OL, so did playcalling. McD likes to protect bis coordinators at the expense of position coaches. -

so, they outcoached us and confused us. -

so he did a good job this year? Please expand. Did you watch the Bengals game against its backup OL, or the Dolphins game. Who cares if Miller loves him. -
Hyatt with one year of production scares me in the first. Would love to trade back, get him and Patterson at C/G in 2nd. Then grab a WR in 3rd. RB is deep, so that in the 4th. Really want BPA (even if DL—vomit), Bean targeting positions has not worked out well.

just a hunch. why else is he still here? any examples of him being a good coach without a future HoF on the line? -
Question is will one be available in 1st round. What we don’t need is Bean reaching and picking average players i.n the 1st.

easy. He is a McD yes man. McD has a culture of non -accountability and excuse making. both -

what a great culture guy McD is. Finding scapegoats year after year, but never actually addressing the issues. He is excuse city. -
this is ridiculous. Hamlin had a miraculous recovery. It should have galvanized the team. We have a lot of poor/average talent on this team outside of JA, Diggs, Miller, Milano and Knox. We missed on a TON of picks, killing our OL and DL. Bean had been a poor drafter since Allen
-
thats why Bean may need to go. Can we trust him to draft offense? Can we have someone else run the draft?

Mock draft time??!! Here is a mock I did today. Feel free to mock or compliment it (all rounds, no trades PFF simulator) RD1: 27: S-Antonio Johnson, Texas A&M. I figure we lose Poyer, and Johnson can fit right in. I know, we need a WR and a bunch of offensive toys, but he is BPA here. R2: 59: WR-Jalin Hyatt, Tenn. Risk is only one year of high production, but upside is there to be a true #2 or eventual #1 WR. R3: 91 RB-Zach Evans, RB, Ole Miss. Compliment for Cook. Good back with speed/strength/catching. Rd 4: 130: C/G Jarrett Patterson, ND. Eventual replacement for Morse while a starter at G. Seems like a day 1 player. Allowed no sacks through Jr. year. R4:139: LB-Owen Pappoe, Auburn. Replacement for Edmunds. Not as athletic, but can hold up in the middle. R5: 164: G/OT Jaxon Kirkland, Washington. Not sure he lasts this long, but another guy who could potentially start day 1. Some positional flexibility. R6: 205: DT-Cameron Young, Miss State. The need to perhaps replace Oliver or add another weapon/stout player in the middle of the DL. Strength is more this guys game. R7: 247: WR-Jayden Reed, MSU: Not sure he lasts this long. Speedy slot WR. Not sure we need another slot, but great value here and will be a contributor. More weapons for JA

Aaron Rodgers to the Jets for 2 first round picks?
RyanC883 replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
This would make them the likely AFC East champs/SB contender. George Wilson is an amazing WR, Breece Hall is a freak RB, and that D is stout. Keep Rodgers away then they will pop out the salary cap excuse and continunity to keep the FO and coaches around again. -
Should we trade Ed Oliver?

Michael Thomas or Odell Beckham Jr.?
RyanC883 replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like Thomas on a 1 year prove it deal. This does not prevent drafting a WR. It does allow us to trade back if no good WR is there, take one of the top G/C, OT, and RB, LB, and S. all of which are needs after cap causalities. -
Mel Kiper is back and you won’t like it
RyanC883 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
of thst guy is the BPA I can handle it. I can’t handle reaching for a position of need which has resulted in numerous failures for Bean. -
might not be 1st round WR or OL talent. If not, I see us trading back to grab several needs: C/G, WR, S, LB.

why do you even watch. You enjoy playoff participation trophies? The reality is we had and have a chance, but this GM who blows picks unlike Cincy and KC’s; and coach who says he “learns” and keeps playing the same crap D will not lead us anywhere. the implication is that you are okay with the status quo. If not, offer some ideas beyond whatever your “accept reality” comment was
