Largely overrated holiday, but I went to NYC for New Year’s one time in my mid twenties and made out with an Indian chick. So I got that going for me. I guess that was one of the great things about NYE when I was young and single. Women tended to be more uninhibited sexually for some reason.

I was a graduate assistant throughout grad school, and each semester we were assigned to a different professor. My final semester I was assigned to a female professor and the chair of the department. Before I go on, for all the “would ya” degens like myself, she was not even remotely attractive and was married and had a few young kids. My final duty of the semester was to help her organize a day long seminar where she brought in someone to do a training for counseling professionals in the area. I organized everything, and things went perfectly well. After the seminar, I was helping her pack her car full of stuff and when I was finished she asked me to join her for a couple drinks to thank me for my work. Long story short, after some drinks she tried to get me to accompany her to a hotel room for sex. She was very direct about it, complaining that her husband was boring in the bedroom, and needless to say it made me very uncomfortable. I slinked away to the bathroom and left the restaurant and went home. Seeing her at graduation was very uncomfortable, but I made it through and never said a word to anyone about it.

The Kings of Topelo, a 3 part crime documentary on Netflix, is one of the most interesting and freaking bizarre things I have watched in a long time. I really don’t want to give anything away so I won’t. Just watch it. I’ve watched it twice since last week. Very well done. 👍

Drove to Queensbury Target to pick up my son’s new TV, stopped at the dispensary on my way home to stock up on some party favors, helped my wife put up the Christmas tree and decorations, now settled in my recliner watching red zone. The boy is reffing a hockey game at 4:15. That’ll keep me sane until dinner time.

Turkey enchiladas. Last day for the leftovers hopefully.

Not sure about a 7:00 game, but it sounded like Hammers was full by like 10am for the Chiefs game at 4:30.

The OG NES system when it first came out in the mid 80s. I had no idea I was actually getting it for xmas, so I was super hyped when I opened it. It came with that stupid robot thing that served no purpose.

My daughter gives me a pedicure about once a month. Mostly bc she is 11 and enjoys doing it, but I’ve grown accustomed to having “neat” toenails with a coat of clear nail polish. I go to Sports Clips for my haircut bc it’s just a simple low fade and I don’t want to pay $70 for that.

NBA basketball. I just can’t get interested at all until the playoffs. I used to be a huge 76ers fan when I was younger and would watch most of their games, but I probably couldn’t name 6 players in the current team.

The Museum of Modern Art in San Fran was pretty cool. This was years ago, but they had a special photography exhibit on murder/violent crime that left me feeling uneasy. Interesting though.

Exactly right. Jake Paul made 40 million and Tyson made 10 million off this fight. Jake could have absolutely murdered him in there, but that was never what this was about. Say what you want about Jake Paul, but the guy is a freaking marketing genius.

Fight played out just as I suspected. Congrats to Iron Mike for earning one final big paycheck. That was, however, an ugly beat down by Jake Paul. Who does Jake fight next?

Tyson has to sleep him within the first 3-4 rounds, or it’s a Paul Dec all day. We shall see. I’m intrigued. I also am an avid combat sports fan. What do you think about Jones/Stipe tomorrow? I predict Jones 1st/2nd round club and sub.

Again, I’m not saying that Jake Paul will ever be a cruiserweight contender. Not a chance. I don’t think he would win against anyone in the top 25, but people completely dismissing his boxing ability are way off. He’s low-level, but actually a pretty technical boxer. And Mike Tyson is old AF. I’m concerned about his cardio even with 2 min rounds. Edit: and Nate Diaz is a very good striker, FTR.

These next two fights are actually legit. Should be entertaining.
