We just changed to Fidium Fiber. Much, much faster and our bill went from $160 (Xfinity/Comcast) to $75/month.

I really started to notice last summer. My electric bill is typically higher in the summer time bc I run 5 AC units in my home. It wasn’t uncommon to get a monthly bill for $225-250. My bill since then has been at least $325-350 regardless of the season.

Pat Benatar was played a lot in my house growing up. I enjoyed her music a lot. She’s gotta be up there on the list.

I like short walks and a good butt scratch here and there if you’re willing.

Cricket came to us already named. She was on “death row” in a shelter down in South Carolina somewhere, and was brought up to Vermont to a shelter where we adopted her. It was abundantly clear right away that she had been horribly abused. It became clear that she was abused by an adult male. It took probably 6 weeks before Cricket would even look at me. She would interact with my wife and children, but would tuck tail and hide behind the couch when I came in the room. I didn’t force her to accept me. Every day, two or three times a day, I would literally crawl a few feet into the room she was in and let her see me leave a treat for her on the floor. I progressively made it closer and closer without her fleeing. Eventually she would let me pet her a little bit and now we’re pals. She still follows my wife around the house all the time, but I’ll take it. She’s a sweet old girl. Just turned 14 years old in March.

First world problems. Especially when we have the league’s top scoring offense. 😒

I have heard that it’s actually a really good movie and I plan to go see it. Might go Saturday night.

Easter is just a pain in my ass. I’m not religious at all, so take that out of the equation. Have to wake up early on a Sunday which stinks. With the exception of deviled eggs, I don’t like any of the food. I also am not a big sweets guy. It also doesn’t help that I live in Vermont and it’s still cold here. Easter is an all-around loser holiday for me, but I can understand why some really get into it. I do really enjoy Halloween, but they make a really big deal about it in my town. Huge parade with a big block party. We have friends over for trick or treating. Drink some choice beers while the kids are running around the neighborhood. Valentines Day is sometimes nice depending on which day it falls. The wife and I usually plan a small trip or go out to a nice restaurant. Cinco de Mayo hasn’t really been a “thing” since my younger days.

I get it. If Jesus is the reason for the season for you, then get your gospel on. It’s probably much more meaningful and enjoyable for you.

Do you have children? I wouldn’t mind Easter either if I could just skip it. Maybe just exchange a small amount of candy with the wife and be happy. Christmas is fun. Usually good food…especially on Xmas eve. Christmas parties with tasty drinks. Presents. What’s not to like?

Obviously if you’re super Christian people I guess it’s a big deal, but everything about Easter makes it the crappiest holiday ever. Nothing but work for the parents having to buy candy and hide eggs in the back yard the night before. Then you gotta wake up early so the kids can find their Easter baskets at 7am on a Sunday. Then out to freeze your nuts off watching the kids look for eggs. Except one is 15 so he hates everything and ***** the whole time. Then the kids argue because one found more eggs than the other. I get the Easter brunch people, but brunch sucks and you gotta go through all the effort of putting on dress clothes. And I don’t know about you all, but my wife insists on making ham for dinner every year bc that’s just what we eat on Easter. But the only one in my house who likes ham is my 11 year old daughter, and she only eats 2-3 tiny pieces and the rest gets put in the refrigerator only to get thrown out after a few days. I hate Easter. Can the Supreme Court vote to get rid of it? Stupid, dumb holiday. Please discuss.

Black Mirror S7 recently released on Netflix. Looking forward to getting started, but I’m in the middle of like 3 shows right now.

I love pitch because it’s such a “cerebral” game. It’s also amazing how you can have a teammate that you just mesh with. If I had to play a game of pitch for my life and I get to pick my partner, it’s my boy Fitzy. We are able to communicate telepathically.
