  1. Agreed but I still think Knox needs to get 50% of the snaps allow him to be more dynamic but come along more slowly.
  2. From weeks 7 to 11 last season Star wasn't effective at "doing the dirty work" he was just getting pushed around. I don't know what flipped but he really turned it on to end the season when the run defense massively improved. Overall I would say that he is important but it isn't like he hasn't had stretches of bad play or mediocre play either
  3. We shall see, I hope that Josh numbers deflate somewhat due to the team running the ball more and sitting on leads with a strong defense. But I think in the short term Josh will have the gaudy stats.
  4. He has to tighten a few things up, mainly ball security and giving up on some plays esp when the team is up. Josh has this amazing gun slinger mentality of never giving up on a play. BUT when the team is up big he has to be more willing to toss the ball away and not risk a fumble or turnover. So overall Josh has played like a top 5 QB this season thus far. Plenty to see how he keeps going and how he adjusts to the league adjusting to him. But so far he isn't too good to be true. He is the real deal. Josh's 2019 was pretty solid, so I hope that 2020 is a sign of progression building off of that as opposed to a mirage that of Fitz or Bledsoe.
  5. The O-line broke down when Donald just started to go into Super Sayan mode half way through the third quarter and in the 4th quarter. But in the first half and half of the third quarter the O-line was playing well against a pretty good D-line. Both pass protection and run blocking. But Donald is just a special beast that took over the game and nearly turned it around for the Rams defensively.
  6. The run defense with Star in the middle was trash for a long stretch in the middle of last season. From weeks 7 to 11 the Bills run defense was putrid, even giving up massive games to trash teams like the Fins and Washington. Star did improve ton end the year but he was a big part of the big lapse in run defense mid-season.
  7. One game good or bad does not make a career. Jackson is the fastest person to play the QB position and he is a decent to good thrower, with a good organization behind him call me crazy but I think he will have a good career.
  8. He is also not that dynamic when healthy. Don't get me wrong he played well against the Rams but I don't think at his best he is more than a solid tight end
  9. There are only 32 jobs out there as a HC of an NFL team so you can only be so picky.
  10. I would wait to see how that worked out for the Cowboys, seems like it might have caused an outbreak but overall I do agree start with 15% and then try and get to 25%
  11. Hopefully McD can adjust the scheme. Last year mid season the rush defense was horrid they turned it around against Zeke and the boys and never looked back. They did it with no major additions and no major returns from injury (Milano had been back for weeks) it was all scheme adjustments and the players on the roster playing better. Hopefully that can be the case again.
  12. Russell Wilson is the front runner but Josh is right there
  13. If there was no past baggage with the coaching staff I wouldn't hate the move considering that he is a solid to good run stuffer. But considering the negative history I would rather take on Snacks Harrison.
  14. Cowboys should win that division with 8 or 9 wins, Eagles are a 6ish win team and the Washington and Giants teams are 5 or less win teams.
  15. Josh looked legit, still he does need to hold onto the ball better and just do a little less "hero ball" and throw the ball away a little sooner. He makes a lot happen but he also can make bad situations worse. If Josh can clean up those habits things are only going to go up for him.
  16. I know Addison and Hyde came back but Dawkins and brown probably didn't from what I remember. Brown should probably take a week off, Davis can fill in for a week, need Brown fully healthy long term. Dawkins would be a serious concern but I actually trust Ty to fill in for a week.
  17. I hope Edumonds learns from this game, he seemed to find his groove against the run last year but this game was not his best effort. I hope that shoulder isn't making him more tentative and making him less effective. Add in coming off of an injury.
  18. The defense only gave up 21 points to a decent Miami team (7 points scored in garbage time) despite having Edumonds and Milano out (a point where Miami exploited.) The defense was also good against the Jets (not much but if you aren't going to be good against the Jets who are you going to be good against?) The Rams game was a concern but let's not overlook the fact that the Rams are likely to finish as a top 5-7 offense in the league and the defense was put in a bad spot twice by the offense with turnovers (one off a bad call but still counts.) Overall I think the defense might need to bring in some help at DT but so far I think 2 out of 3 games the defense played solid or better in. Norman coming back won't hurt but in the end I think the D-line needs to be put in a better position to have success.
  19. People forget McD basically asked Phillips to rush and freelance at the 1 tech and while it would often lead to pressure and tackles for losses it was more often than not also succeptible to traps and other issues with the rushing game.
  20. I am not too alarmed by the coaching. Had the team not turned the ball over twice (one on a completely BS call) the Rams would have had a harder time to rally. That INT gave the Rams some life and then the fumble by Josh (and a bad penalty) basically legitimized their rally and made things easier for them. Great teams have an offense and defense that complement each other. And the offense via the turnovers and the lack of moving the ball compromised the defense against a very strong offense.
  21. The offense turned the ball over twice during the Rams rally and had 1 or 2 (from what I remember) three and outs. That's not going to help a defense against an elite offense.
  22. This team had a 25 point lead fairly quickly cut to 18 when the Rams went back down and scored. There was then a turnover (on a bogus call) that the Rams cashed in on which cut the lead to 11. Then the offense does a good job mixing the run and pass getting the ball into Rams territory before a bad penalty and turnover by Josh get the Rams the ball at their own 35. By then the Rams were rolling with momentum and deep in Bills territory. The offense put the defense in a bad position and the defense didn't respond. I don't know if they should have been running the ball that much more because Josh was effectively moving the ball they just got a bad call against them and a sloppy play by Josh.
  23. Jordan Phillips was bad against the run... In fact Star was there when the team went through a stretch of bad run defense last year. It was only scheme adjustments and improved play from the D-line that got the team on track when it hit that mid-year slump.
  24. The announcers were right in that there is no horsecollar in the pocket, its a bad exception to the rule but it is there. I do agree that INT call was bad. I would also say that they should have let the facemask call go but it wasn't a bad call either. The Bills did get a 50/50 call on the PI against Davis so there is that.
  25. I can't hold getting owned by Aaron Donald against someone. But the coaching staff should have been consistently doubling Donald. I felt like there were a lot of plays the guards or Mitch were put on an island against him.
