  1. It's one of those weird fluky games, if the Bills can come out with a squeaker I will take it. Away game, weather delay, team that isn't bad but isn't good, two key injuries being exploited and a couple of bad calls. It's all going against the Bills right now and they still lead by 4. Just need to go up by two possessions. A turnover by Fitz would help.
  2. I think Knox can develop but he is a year away. Hopefully he gets stronger and more consistent as the year goes on. If not a high draft pick will likely be spent at TE
  3. Offense needs to at least shift field position and get the defense a rest. A TD would be a game breaker but even 3-4 first downs would help.
  4. That's most NFL teams, most NFL games are 1-2 possessions...
  5. Decent punt here but the Bills defense needs to step up big here. This can't end with Miami even moving to better field position. Lock down D needs to lock down
  6. The offense needs to respond big here. Miami has momentum and its only a 4 point game. That weather delay is going to make this a funky game.
  7. The Jets have managed Darnold about as poorly as they possibly could. They made a lot of big splashes on both sides of the ball in 2019 that screwed their cap and didn't provide the talent needed. They then tried a more prudent approach this past off-season but it might not work if the coach stinks.
  8. The inability to workout as normal might also have played a factor.
  9. This team needs to bring in a kicking coach, Bass needs some help, he has the talent he just needs the confidence and coaching. Bills up two scores after a shaky half not too shabby if they can shut the door on this possession for Miami.
  10. It's a 50/50 call, luckily the call on the field is a catch so if it is viewed as a true toss up by the refs it will stand.
  11. He could break out like that however, I am not too impressed with the Dolphins and Jets so while I think Allen needs to dominate these teams I am not crowning him just yet until I see him against stronger defenses.
  12. Last year was the Cinderella season, this year the expectations is 11+ wins and at the very least a playoff victory. This team is supposed to handle mediocre teams like the Fins.
  13. For anyone wanting to follow the game use the ESPN gamecast. https://www.espn.com/nfl/game?gameId=401220122
  14. 4ht and 6 now, likely a Miami punt coming up.
  15. If you want to follow the game use the ESPN Gamecast https://www.espn.com/nfl/game?gameId=401220122 2nd and 6 Miami has the ball on their 41
  16. Woods was always productive here, not lighting the world on fire but you could tell his numbers would be a lot better if the team was a more pass oriented offense and had better QB's while he was here. The Rams smartly saw that he was talented and could produce more if he was in a better situation. After back to back seasons of high end production they have to pay him after he was a steal for the past 3 years. Good for him, I wish we never let him leave but it ended up being what was best for him at the time. When he was here I thought he was a good WR2, but he has proven to be able to put up solid WR1 production. Him and Cupp should play off each other well.
  17. I assumed a kicking coach and a punting coach already existed and were generally speaking a part of the special teams coaching staff. If that isn't the case then it absolutely should be.
  18. I agree he isn't elite yet, but I think he plays "good" the first half of the season and then turns it up to a Pro-Bowl level to end the back half of the season. I think it will resemble Edumonds last year where he was nice to begin the season but turned it on later on.
  19. Last year with a less talented support system Fitz did have some success against the defense. So I am not too sure he can't get some points.
  20. I think if Fitz is going to cut this team up it is going to be in the short and mid-range game. And with Milano and Edumonds out I could see Klein (who is a better run defender than a pass defender) being picked on in the short range game. Fitz did have some success passing last year too. I just wouldn't get too confident about this game, yes I expect the Bills to win even with Milano and Edumonds out but this isn't going to be an easy win especially with the two LB's out. If I had to predict the score I would say 31-21 Bills but the Bills are only up one score late. It just seems like one of those trap type games where the injuries to the LB corps can be exploited by the Fins in the passing game.
  21. I like Ed Oliver to be the elite guy on the D-line, I think he will be a Pro-Bowl player this year and down the line a possible All-Pro. But I do agree that the line is more so comprised of Average players in depth roles and moderately above average players starting. The O-line is a sum of their parts. Mitch in my opinion is a top 5 center, elite top 3 pass protecting center and an average or so run blocker but a key leader at a position where that matters a lot. Dawkins is a lower top 10 LT but the rest of the O-line are solid players. Spain solid middle of the road guard, Ford is a decent player, Feliciano a solid starting caliber guard, Ty a solid tackle, Winters is a high end backup low end starter and Bates a swiss army knife good depth player. Overall I am impressed at the depth on both sides of the line. The O-line is built more so in the vein of the Giants O-lines from the late 2000's and early 2010's. Five average to above average players who have great chemistry with one another and play as a strong unit. There might not be a lot of elite perennial Pro-Bowl talent on there but there is no weak link and the chemistry will hopefully (if they can keep Mongo for 2-3 more years and Ford continues to improve) be there to the point where so many of these guys have 3-4 years playing with each other. No win in the NFL should be taken for granted. Edumonds and Milano being out will make the middle of the defense vulnerable. Klein I think I can fill in at one position and be decent but hopefully the other guys can hold the fort for one game. I do agree that it is better to even risk losing to Miami than to risk injury to two critical starters especially if the risk to losing in Miami is lower than average.
  22. I am not sold on Burrow. The Browns secondary is not healthy. Greedy Williams, their 2nd round pick at safety and several other key players in that secondary are hurt and outside of Ward that secondary wasn't that great to begin with. So Burrow throwing a good number on them even in a somewhat competitive game (But the Bengals were playing from behind a lot of the game too inflating stats) is not very impressive. This banged up Browns secondary might be one of the bottom 3 or 4 in the league at the moment. Even when healthy that Browns secondary was a bottom 12 secondary in the league.
  23. This D-line has 7-9 legit starting caliber players on it. Even the guys like Johnson and AJ rounding out the rotation are still decent to solid players in their own right. I have never seen a D-line in Buffalo have such tremendous depth. Both sides of the line are deep. The O-line has several players on the bench that could start for a lot of teams in the league.
