  1. It does have its similarities. The big failure of the Jauron era, IMO, was the inability to find a QB. Time will tell if that repeats itself.
  2. I'd like to see it if you can figure it out.
  3. Lotulelei has been fine. About what they wanted from him.
  4. He's a rookie. That's probably the biggest reason.
  5. He barely played this week either so what's the difference?
  6. I agree. It looked like a clean play. He wasn't trying to hit the WR at all.
  7. If only they had a young Jerry Rice waiting in the wings. He is bad but I'm not sure they have anyone that is an upgrade him. How many plays did Zay Jones make? It's not just Benjamin.
  8. Can't have too many CBs! In all seriousness, Gaines and Lewis have been streaky. They may develop into good players or they may go the other way. Not looking for another CB would be a serious gamble, IMO.
  9. Didn't need any excuses this week. 464 yards passing, 4 TDs, 0 ints.
  10. Do everything possible to take pressure off of Allen. Run the ball more often, even if you don't get a ton of yards. Keep more people in to pass protect so that you can take some shots downfield. Give the protection adjustment responsibilities to the center, if possible.
  11. Take a top WR #1 and a couple of OL in rounds 2, 3 or 4. But they do need a DE and CB in there somewhere too.
  12. Agree, but I think it's the system. And unlike Dennison, Daboll doesn't seem interested in "going back to what worked," the way Dennison did last season by resurrecting elements of the Roman/Lynn offense. On the positive side, they're getting lots of reps in the system he likes. On the negative side, it's not working.
  13. Packers were all over that stuff. They need to find a way to back the defense off a little bit. I don't think asking a rookie QB to adjust protections and make quick, correct reads is all that likely to succeed. A more conservative game plan with more running and more people staying in to block would be better at this point in Allen's development, IMO.
  14. 5 carries for McCoy is crazy.
  15. But besides that he's got #1 WR written all over him.
  16. Just biding his tim until the perfect moment to strike!
  17. This doesn't even consider the fact that they struggle to get separation, which is another problem.
  18. The philosophy is the same as 90% of the coaches in the NFL. He is just good at getting his players to do it and has a HOF QB on the roster. That's why he has been more successful than everyone else.
  19. At this point that's probably true. I don't know any way that is confidence can't be destroyed, which doesn't exactly make him a reliable backup.
  20. I thought he played well too. I thought it was interesting that when he got dinged up and Groy came in he immediately got beat for a sack. He's probably not the long term answer at center but he appears better than Groy anyway.
  21. If a 0% hit rate over two drafts and free agency periods doesn't create any questions for you then you an I do indeed have different expectations.
  22. The've changed every single WR. None of their new players at this position are playing well. I think it's reasonable to question how the process is going at that position. Especially when you consider that some of the guys that left are doing very well on their new teams.
