  1. He looked discouraged. I think reality has finally set in with him that this team sucks and it's going to be a long season.
  2. He did? I watched it and I didn't see that. I must have missed it!
  3. It's hard to build a winning culture when you're getting your butts handed to you all the time. Players develop bad habits, get lazy, etc.
  4. Wasn't he McDermott's top choice when they hired him?
  5. Given that they dumped everyone and completely started over it'll take 3 more good drafts to get a decent team together. If Allen pans out of course.
  6. He should have been well rested.
  7. Besides for bad tackling, missed assignments, poor recognition and penalties they looked pretty good. Well, except for those few times when they weren't ready at the snap of the ball.
  8. If you think the national media thinks the Bills are crap now, wait until NE undresses them on prime time TV for all to see
  9. Paraphrasing Bum Phillips: "The essence of coaching is to get the bad players to be average, the average players be good and the good players to be great. And if you can't do that they you shouldn't be in coaching."
  10. Well, they have won more games than the Colts so that would be a start you would think.
  11. Sure. Rosen has nothing to do with their offense bombing. ?
  12. It's amazing that the Bills are 7.5 point underdogs to a 1-5 team and that almost no one thinks they can win. Shows the lack of respect for the team nationally.
  13. I don't know. Rosen looked really bad on Thursday. Got his OC fired already.
  14. This is true, although Anderson and McCarron are not nearly as good as Taylor so there is a trade off. Players who were better and fit the current pass happy scheme, like McCown, Keenum and Bridgewater, were available
  15. They have been played very well but I can't discount what you are saying. With the game on the line and a chance to win it with a stop, they allowed an 84 yard drive in the final two minutes. I was positive that they were going to get the stop and maybe you can blame the PI call, but a great defense makes that stop and wins the game. Right now they are very good but need to take one more step to get to the top.
  16. The both stink. Bring back Roman.
  17. The Jets had a nice off season. Of course it will mean nothing if Darnold doesn't pan out.
  18. I just can't feel bad for the poor billionaire owners when tax payers won't give them free land and/or free money for facilities improvements. Sorry. I'm not opposed to this happening but I think it should be evaluated on a case by case basis and there should be no expectation that it will happen on the part of the owners or league.
  19. TT, or any veteran QB that could start this season while Allen learns, as was originally planned by everyone, would definitely help Allen because he wouldn't get killed while sitting back in the pocket like a deer in the headlights. If you don't see the connection there then I don't know what to tell you.
  20. Let me just review the time line for all of this, so I understand. The Bills traded away an experienced, albeit mediocre, QB before they had any concrete alternative in place. They picked up a guy as their "bridge" who was the last FA QB to be signed and had a very limited track record having only started a handful of games. They then selected his competition to start, trading their new "bridge" away for peanuts. This was done even though it left them with 3 combined starts of experience on the roster and the new projected starter had played horribly the season before. After this starter bombs (again), they decide they have to start a rookie, who everyone (including the coaches) had been saying needed time to develop before he was thrown out there so that he didn't lose his confidence, develop bad habits or worst of all get injured. The rookie struggles so the decide that they need a veteran after all, so they sign a guy out of retirement who hasn't played a snap in forever. The hoped for franchise QB, whom they traded everything that wasn't nailed down to get, is injured and rumored to be facing surgery. Starting options include the above mentioned mediocre, over-the-hill veteran and a player who has completely bombed whenever he's taken the field. At every one of the points above a different decision by the coaching staff could (and probably would) have improved the situation both for the short term record and the long term health and development of Allen. So I'm baffled as to how you can say that things wouldn't have been better if they'd handled them differently.
