  1. "We can't even beat the Bills. How low can we go?" ? I guess that's the one benefit from sucking. If you beat somebody then they become apoplectic about it.
  2. Getting better every week. Maybe the Bills actually do have a #2 WR.
  3. I think they realized that even mediocre players with speed is better than having no speed at all.
  4. Then he needs to become a lot better at teaching because it's the first time all season that the players have been able to execute his game plan.
  5. Why would they resign Peterman? It appears that anyone that they pick up off the street would be ahead of him on the depth chart.
  6. Because they made a minimal effort and hoped for the best. They lost their three best starting OL from a group that was marginal to begin with. In response they signed a mediocre center and a backup tackle, and drafted a developmental guard prospect in the 5th round. So the plan was apparently that Dawkins replaces Glenn, Miller/Newhouse/Groy replace Incognito and Bodine/Groy replace Wood. And they just keep on rolling with Ducasse and Mills, their two worst lineman from the previous season. How could anything go wrong?
  7. Sure. Maybe pickup a DE in the 1st and a CB in the 2nd as well.
  8. They had better not use a 3rd round pick on a RB.
  9. So I guess the plan to replace EJ Gaines has officially failed now that Davis and Phillip Gaines are both gone. Would have been nice to bring him back.
  10. I’ve actually heard Murphy cut off Steve Tasker when he was criticizing the team. I think it was after the week two loss. I say censoring the press is good if they have views that I disagree with.
  11. False. The next head coach will be an offensive mind who wants a 3-4 defense.
  12. Agree. It makes no sense to play Allen until after the bye. Might as well wait until he's 100%. I honestly don''t think it matters who they pick between Allen, Anderson or even Barkley. The quality of QB play will be very similar.
  13. It is a tough call.
  14. He pretty much has to say this until he actually cuts him (if that ever happens.) But I really wonder what he sees in him. He has so little arm talent that it's very hard for him out there. Even when he makes decent reads he has trouble making the throws.
  15. I'm with you 100%. This season is a disaster for building winning habits. That's for sure.
  16. Yeah, they are all set at QB.
  17. Double moves would certainly be viable IF the pass protection can hold up long enough for them to happen. Something tells me the Bears aren’t going to allow that.
  18. I'm sure Peterman will start given that Anderson got zero practice time. They are probably just holding out hope that Anderson can be in uniform as the backup and they don't have to have Barkley. Can you imagine if the QBs are Peterman backed up by Barkley? ?
  19. I think McDermott is a good coach but I think it's obvious that he and Beane have mishandled the offense since they've been here. That's why it's tough to watch Shanahan put up 31 points with an UDFA QB. The Bills would need 4 games to get to 31 at the rate they score so a little envy is understandable.
  20. He hardly seems like an impact player. That's my real concern with him. Leslie Frazier called him their "big signing" in camp, but we're half way through the season and he has 14 tackles and 3 sacks in part time action. He was supposed to be an upgrade over Shaq Lawson but I haven't seen it. He's a better pass rusher and a much worse run defender so he's just a rotational player at this point.
  21. Besides all the good points made in this thread, I also think that team culture plays into this. They are trying to build an atmosphere of playing for each other, being accountable and thinking of the team first. Sitting when you are healthy and the team is desperate at your position doesn't fit that model. Also, if you sit Allen because you don't want him to get hurt then why are the other top guys playing and risking injury? If you're tanking the season then why play anyone who is in their plans for next season? Its a slippery slope. If you are not injured you play.
  22. The guy has never been successful as an NFL offensive coordinator in stints with multiple teams and is currently running the worst offense in the NFL and possible franchise history. I appreciate that we don’t want to judge him to soon but he has a LOT yet to prove.
  23. Don't be surprised if Alexander is gone too. He will be a 36 year old free agent next season. Also, I don't think McCoy will be back. He will be traded. The only Whaley guy left will be Hughes, IMO.
  24. Also, Santa Claus will be coming to town shortly.
