  1. Their performance was so good that this week in took both an inept offense and terrible special teams to turn it into a loss.
  2. The reason he looks so bad is that he keeps getting thrown out there by McDermott. Any other QB would have been cut and been bagging groceries by the end of last season. Not with Peterman, for some reason. In fact, my money's on him starting next week.
  3. That's what's going to happen. Nate Peterman, part 5
  4. The Bills are primarily a zone defense so having two lock-down man to man CBs seems like a luxury that is a waste of cap resources. They'd be better off spending the money on DL if they are going to go for defense..
  5. Right. That is the problem with drafting raw players. As soon as their skills come to full fruition you have to pony up big $ to keep them. Meanwhile, guys who come out ready can give you a couple of years of top play at low prices. Look at Tredavious White as an example. Maybe McDermott and Beane see the defensive MLB as a quarterback type who is worth paying big $ to keep an elite player long term. You can't have too many of those on your roster before you're in salary cap trouble though.
  6. Yeah, but besides that ... Why not just put an OT out there. At least he would help the running game.
  7. The problem isn’t that they haven’t made moves, IMO, it’s that the moves they’ve made have been bad- drafting Zay Jones in the 2nd, trading a Darby for for Jordan Matthews and decent draft picks for Kelvin Benjamin. That’s a good starter plus a 2nd, 3rd and 7th round pick for zero basically.
  8. Maybe, but that’s not what he said at the PC. He said that Peterman status with the team, as the number 2 QB, hasn’t changed. I’m just trying to figure out if Anderson becoming the prime backup is just a guess or if anyone associated with the team actually said it.
  9. I just listened to McDermotts Wednesday PC and he said that Peterman would be the number 2. Has something happened since then?
  10. But will he stand for the anthem?
  11. I’m baffled by this. When they signed Anderson I thought that McDermott had finally come to his senses and signed someone who could passibly play if Allen got injured. But now it appears that they are paying Anderson to be a mentor, which should be the coaches job, while keeping Peterman as the backup, even though he has shown no signs of being able to play. I don’t get it but maybe I’ll see the light as the season progressed.
  12. You know what else would have resulted in a Bills win? ...
  13. Because now we have to keep 3 QBs on the roster because our backup can't play or mentor Allen.
  14. Maybe he can bring Chan Gailey out of retirement. With McDermott not giving a crap about offense and Gailey not giving a crap about defense it might be a match made in heaven.
  15. Then get a QB coach and save the roster spot for a player.
  16. Maybe I’m misunderstanding, but isn’t this kind of advice what the coaches are for? Players are supposed to play. Can Anderson play?
  17. I don't think so. It's become clear to me that McDermott and Beane are going to ship out every single player that was here when they arrived. By the end of next season I predict everyone will be gone. No way Glenn would have survived. Dawkins at LT was always the plan, if not year one then by this year for sure.
  18. Which facts? There are many versions...
  19. As I posted above I think Allen made the correct read throwing to Holmes, but another option that I would like to see him consider more often is to throw a high ball to Benjamin when he's 1v1 like this with a safety. Yes he's covered, but he towers over that guy and it would be a big gain. This offense needs to roll the dice a little on plays like this because they're not talented enough to drive the field consistently.
  20. He's not going to develop if he goes out there and gets crushed. He will develop bad habits, get his confidence shattered and/or get injured. They are only going to give him responsibilities at the rate that he can handle them. Based on what we've seen so far it appears that is limited so he's going to be "hidden" for a while as he slowly learns.
  21. Apparently the Bills are everyone's trap game. ?
  22. I wonder what it will take for McDermott to finally concede that Peterman isn't an NFL QB.
  23. Allen is expecting Holmes to continue across the field so he leads him and Holmes stops instead. It's plain as day. I'm not sure why Holmes would stop that route since the area he was running into was wide open. This may look like an inaccurate throw but it was a case of the QB and WR not being on the same page.
  24. I was so supremely confident that Norwood was going to make that and that the Bills were a burgeoning dynasty that I wasn't really any more worried than today when it meant very little by comparison. I know it's probably hard to fathom but that team was so good that fans just expected them to find a way to win every game they played, no matter who it was against and no matter what the score was.
