    There has to be more going on here than meets the eye. A QB as good and established as Wilson doesn’t suddenly forget how to play. Not to the level we are seeing anyway. I wonder if something is actually wrong with him physically that isn’t being disclosed or that people aren’t aware of yet.

    Just IR him until next season and get it over with. I seriously doubt he’s going to come back at a pro bowl level this season given how long this is lingering and the distraction is ridiculous. JMO.

    The Bills don't have the personnel to run the ball beyond a change of pace, IMO. They're just going to be slamming Singletary against a wall and ending up in 2nd and 3rd and long situations which will lead even more trouble passing.

    I’m really confused by all these calls for the Bills to run more when they have a poor run blocking OL and middling RBs. The Bills are a pass offense. What they need to do is reestablish the short passing game to help them manage down and distance and take some pressure off Allen to force things downfield. Where is Mackenzie? Shakir? Knox? Singletary/Hines?

    Singletary is a pretty good receiver, but they never throw him the ball anymore. Instead the draft Cook and trade for Hines. It's silly.

    Davis absolutely needs to be between the defender and the QB on that route, or he's not open. But Allen had plenty of time to see that it didn't happen, so I don't know why he threw it.

    I don't know, those two goal line stands seemed like big plays at critical times. More like Allen blew it. Twice.

    At least on offense. Maybe the defense has had some injuries, but what's the offense's excuse?

    Yeah, a back four of Jackson, Hamlin, Lewis and Benford is brutal. Then add no pass rush...

    Lewis had a forgettable game, IMO. In addition to that play he took a horrific angle on Cook's TD run. That should not have gone the distance.

    It could also be that they think Allen at 80% is better than Barkley at 100%.

    Allen is basically the entire offense, so I suspect they will fall off a cliff without him but we’ll see I guess.

    It’s just good offensive game planning. The Bills like to play nickel the vast majority of the time and almost never blitz. So the offense goes heavy and forces the D out of their comfort zone. They either need to sub out of their base defense, blitz, or take their lumps. None are desirable with the current personnel.

    I agree, he looks redundant. Only explanation to me is that they don’t think Singletary is very good in the passing game and they don’t think Cook is ready yet, so they rent Hines for one season to help with the SB run then figure it out from there.

    Two back sets are a relic of the 70s. Only one back gets the ball, the other one needs to block. Will that be Cook or Hines? And if you want to throw the ball, then you are better off with another WR in the game than a second back. They have more route options and are better at running routes and catching to begin with.

    Isn’t Hines salary twice Singletarys? That seems unsustainable for a backup RB / role player. Feels like a 1 year rental.
