The city promised a bunch of infrastructure improvements to make the facility possible then failed to deliver them so I’m not sure what they expected. The team already spent a ton on construction so they really got shafted to be honest.

PSLs are just another way for the super rich to skim money off everyone else. There is zero benefit to fans. They pay more, with new restrictions, for the same thing they’ve been getting up to now. This is so that the owners pay even less for a stadium that benefits them financially almost exclusively. But as has been said, it’s supply and demand. If you want the supply, then you need to bend over.

From what I read, it sounded like the Commanders claimed that they expected to have an opportunity to match the offer but we’re never given one, hence their reaction of going directly to the player after the deal was agreed to by the agent.

I think the fact that this is being discussed with such passion, and not just on TBD, shows that this is patently false. There are brand and therefore financial implications to the fans beliefs.
