  1. The DA decides whether to pursue a criminal complaint, not the victim. And the victim can be subpoenaed to testify if the DA wants, although if he is unwilling it may not be desirable.
  2. I’m not a lawyer, but I’m pretty sure that it’s not legal to pay somebody to not testify in a criminal inquiry. Maybe he could pay the victim to make a civil lawsuit go away, but not a crime. And even if the victim doesn’t testify, what more evidence do you need than the video and sworn statement they already have?
  3. Frazier lost any chance at being a HC for this season after the defense got absolutely destroyed by KC, but I don’t think all hope is lost. People’s memories are short, and if the defense plays well next season then he may still have a shot at something.
  4. He’s going to need some huge runs to do that with 10 carries per game.
  5. He did say this, sort of. The topic was why the Bills didn’t draft a CB in the second round instead of Basham, who almost never played. Beane’s answer implied that there wasn’t a CB rated as a second round talent available, and that to reach for one who would then end up playing worse that Jackson would be bad for the team and also that draft picks development, as he would be labeled a bust. It sounded to me like a very lukewarm endorsement of Jackson. Basically, just that he didn’t totally stink.
  6. Making decisions and determining awards based on race is the best way to reduce racism. 🤔
  7. The defense has a lot less talent on it than many people seem to think. McD and Beane have put together a group of decent players who are well coached, do their “1/11th”, and feast of rookie QBs and mediocre offenses. But you don’t beat good QBs and good offenses without big time talent. Tre is a piece of that but I think they need more than him. There’s a reason that no defensive player made the pro bowl besides anti-Bills bias.
  8. The defense was a disgrace most of that night, not just the last 13 seconds of regulation. They gave up 552 yards of offense and 7.6 yards per play. They gave up the go ahead TD to Hill inside of two minutes and the losing TD in OT like they weren’t even on the field. I do think people are focusing too much on those 13 seconds and should actually look at it as just a piece of how horrible they were overall, especially when you see how the Bengals less touted defense did in the subsequent game.
  9. I wish someone would insult me like that. lol. I mean, how much better is he really than Dane Jackson anyway? Just draft a new CB or bring in a FA to compete with Jackson for the spot opposite Tre.
  10. He basically said the best thing about him is that he communicates the calls well with and understands what he’s doing. Pretty lukewarm.
  11. You can watch them for free on the Yahoo sports app.
  12. When was the last time a team with an offense like this won a championship? The late 90s?
  13. I keep seeing this but I don’t follow the logic at all. The Bills play with one OLB almost all the time- Milano. So are you saying: a) Move Milano to the bench and play Edmunds instead, find a new MLB? b) Keep Milano at OLB, move Edmunds to the bench but pay him $9mm per year to be a backup/role player? c) Change their defense to be a base 4-3 and not 4-2 nickel? d) Switch Milano and Edmunds so that Milano, who is thriving at OLB, has to learn a new position to try and benefit a marginal player?
  14. Hopefully he will add his own spin to improve things. Offense was decent and didn’t need to start over.
  15. Unless it’s Dorsey, I would assume that a new OC will want his own assistants so I’m not surprised that offensive assistant coaches are wanting to leave.
  16. I actually think just the opposite. If you have 3 or 4 top players, then forget the crazy rotation. If you have a bunch of JAGs then you might as well play them all and at least keep them as fresh as possible. So, I think the Bills are doing the right thing WRT the talent they have.
  17. Seems like a crazy move for both of them. Rookie HC with a rookie OC? Dorsey gets first OC gig without a top QB? Good luck to them.
  18. It seems like more of a lifetime achievement award. Now that it’s clear that he may never win another division title, they feel bad that they never gave him one before.
  19. This is probably impossible, but it's really what they need. A premium pass rusher to anchor a legitimate 6 to 7 man rotation, and an end to the 11 man rotation of JAGs. Then draft a CB and let's go.
  20. A fast CB who can play man to man coverage. Last year vs KC, the problem was: no pass rush and too slow in the secondary. Fast forward to this year and the problem is.... the same. With all the investment in the DL they didn't really improve much and the secondary is as slow as ever.
  21. The Bills certainly should have only rushed 3 men on those two plays and not 4. Even Romo pointed that out during the broadcast. As for rushing 2, I've never seen the Bills do that so I'm not sure it's in their playbook the way it is in say New England's. The real problem, from what I saw is that everyone was WAY to deep and KC just dumped the ball off and gained 20 yards each time before anyone could come up and make a tackle on the receiver. They totally needed to play more people in coverage and jamb / hold the receivers to slow everything down. But alas, it didn't happen. And Andy Reid is very good in these situation. I remember them scoring a long TD on a middle screen at the end of the half a few years ago vs Belichick and NE so it's not just McDermott that gets burned.
