To be honest, I think it’s unlikely that White will be back anywhere close to 100% at any point this season. He may play, but I doubt he will be fully confident in his knee and that’s not even factoring in the rust. I think next season is more likely before we see the old Tre White.

I’m a little concerned over the CB situation. Starting Jackson and Elam is far from ideal, and when you consider Benford is the 3rd CB, you have two rookies and a second year player as your primary CBs for at least the first quarter of the season.

The backup outside WRs are Stevenson and Kumerow. I hope Diggs and Davis stay injury free.

What has changed in the last 24 hours? It seems like they are suddenly able to get new information now that the backlash has hit and the urgency is there.

Honestly, I think McDermott said exactly the right thing at the PC. He wants to be proactive, find the truth and then decide what to do based on that. Unfortunately, this should have been done when they were scouting the player or at least when the girls attorney made the team aware of the accusations. It seems like they did a half baked investigation pre-draft and then put their heads in the sand when the attorney contacted them.

If they really thought there would not be a massive public backlash then they are out of touch with reality. If they were going to stick with Araiza through this then they needed to be 100% confident in his side, which McDermott didn’t sound like at the PC.

How can the organization possibly not be to blame? The said that they did a “thorough investigation” and then decided to cut Haack. Now it looks like they were full of crap and just did a cursory investigation before dismissing the issue. Obviously they took it very lightly which was a huge mistake and is frankly unbelievable given the seriousness of the accusations and the current environment with Watson.

Who is their backup punter? I always thought it was Bass. What if the punter pulls a hamstring or something during a game? I hope they have a better plan in place than tonight.

They guy took over a terrible Cowboys team and by his third season had them in the playoffs, got them a playoff win, and a regular season win over the Super Bowl champion Redskins. There was never any question that had turned the Cowboys around by the end of his second season let alone after 48 games. To imply that the jury was still out on him after three seasons is reaching.

They interviewed several doctors in the documentary and their opinions were far more benign that this. Many of them prescribe steroids when patients need to recover from illnesses or surgeries, or are just old.

There is actually a really good documentary on whether “steroid abuse” is actually bad. . “Bigger, stronger, faster” it makes it seem that most of the health risks are overblown and that the real question is what is fair to expect/allow athletes to do to compete.
