  1. I've asked this question a dozen times..., and it begs to question are we better off using our draft stock to fill in holes and build around a journeyman QB if we're not in position to get THE quarterback we want... I don't want to settle for the 4th or 5th guy off the board, which unfortunately we may still have to do, even if we trade up given the needs of other teams that will likely pick before us based upon record.
  2. Do you think the Bills would have been better this season had we let Tyrod go and signed Josh McCown last offseason?
  3. My comment on Orton was in regards to the OP saying Tyrod is the best QB we have had in 17 years. I disagree.
  4. orton was 7-5 as a Buffalo Bill. By your philosophy of just wanting wins, you should value his performance more than Tyrod too.
  5. Kelly was 23-13 with nearly 10,000 yards in 2 seasons in the USFL Kelly's first game in the NFL: 292 yards and 3 TDs. If Peterman does that vs. the Bolts, I'll be a believer.
  6. 300 yards, 2 Tds and 2 ints. One of those interceptions is off a receiver who wasn't ready for the fast delivery and is taken back for a score. I also expect Zay Jones to have his breakout game as he returns to the slot where he belongs.
  7. I assume it's just one 3rd and a 7th... all I've seen is "third and seventh round picks".
  8. Glenn is not going anywhere.... and we shouldn't want him to unless we received a king's ransom.
  9. Take away His 1st round draft pick status (sunk cost) - he has 8 tackles this year and one sack. What huge market was there going to be this offseason for a guy with 18 tackles, 2 sacks and $54 million remaining owed? Now throw in that he's been late to games(s), an off the field headache, and I'm surprised we got any picks in return. His production is easily replaceable in this defense as shown already this season, and we are no worse off this season without him.
  10. If he wants to play.... why are we entertaining trade offers? Isn't our biggest need right now at receiver?
  11. I'd like to play Trevor Siemian in between the 20s and Tyrod in the red zone.
  12. After watching several non-Bills games yesterday, it's clear that many/most QBs in this league make decisions faster than Tyrod and release the ball much sooner. Sure Trevor Siemian had a couple picks yesterday, but he moved the ball up and down the field easily and put his team in position to score points.
  13. I think you'll start seeing football decline in Texas and California specifically. The parents that are bankrolling their kids private QB coaches will have their kids go in a different direction.
  14. I think you'll start seeing a further socio-economic divide with the game. The wealthy will push their kids in a different direction and eventually the funding will follow. 20 years from now it will surprise me if it's recognizable to today's game.
  15. The writing is clearly on the walls, ceiling, floor and furniture... This sport is fading fast. Enjoy it while it lasts. Football will continue to erode from the pee-wee level up as parents protect their kids from getting their heads scrambled.
  16. In theory his thoughts are correct... in reality, Tyrod hasn't had much of relationship with the current corp of receivers who were mostly 2nd string to begin with or new to the team (FAs and rookies). How much different would it really be if we brought in a new WR or two and gave him 2 weeks to practice with?
  17. I personally think 0.39063% is crazy. That's the odds of winning the next 8 consecutive coinflips. In which of these games do you think we're favored by more than 3 at this point with this offense?
  18. Dawkins was dreadful yesterday.Trading Glenn makes no sense to me either.. The OL needs to be a place of strength for this team do anything this year, next year or in the foreseeable future. That doesn't happen by trading your best OL talent and hoping to replace him in the draft. We have too many other needs to be adding LT to the shopping list this offseason.
  19. You're right. The loss of Matthews is the same as losing Julio Jones. /sarcasm. Maybe you can equate it tot the loss of Sanu, but the equivalent of them losing Julio would be us losing Shady. Vic Beaslely, Courtney Upshaw, Ricardo Allen all didn't play on defense. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the win, and I understand anything can happen in the NFL. I was much more impressed with the Denver win than the Atlanta game.
