  1. A win this week will mean more to me than last week. We beat a seemingly good team, but without its star talent. Their crowd was a non-factor, and we won't get either of those benefits this weekend. This has the feeling of a let down game, and it's one you just need to survive. One Vontaze Burfict cheap shot, and we could be in for a world of hurt. Survive and make it to our bye, and I'll start feeling a whole lot more optimistic. always a classic
  2. Broncos fans near me drove up from Maryland. There appeared to be considerably more Broncos fans in attendance than Jets fans at the home opener.
  3. I'm not bashing Watkins because he's gone.... but he looks heavy and slow.
  4. Sell: Shady - his value is as high as it's going to be, and it still won't surprise me if he's gone mid season. Buy/Long Term: Poyer he's an emerging star Buy/Speculative: Tyrod - it's a contrarian play, and there is blood in the streets. He'll have a good week at some point, and then I'll sell. Hold: Offensive line - they are what they are, and the market knows it.
  5. I'm a big fan of Blackthorn Restaurant and Pub on Seneca in South Buffalo, but it's probably farther than you want to go if you're staying downtown. Great banana peppers, beer cheddar soup, wings, etc... and they just opened up a beer garden with corn hole and other games. If you're a Notre Dame fan, it's great to watch the game on Saturday too.
  6. I'd really be leery about Luck's long term sustainability/health. He's taken a lot of beatings behind that line over the years.
  7. A Bills win will prove very little to me, but a Bills loss will be a resounding statement and a sign to trade off any assets early. By all prognostications, the Jets may be historically bad this season. If we lose it's a sign that the culture hasn't changed as much as we'd like to think it has and we most likely found a way to beat ourselves, as on our paper, our roster is significantly better than theirs. If that's what we're in for this year - lets sell off now and go "all-in" for the next two drafts... at least that's a direction. It's hard to believe that Week 1 is a "must win" situation for the Bills.
  8. I was on board with trading Ragland for Dorsett. If we get him of the scrap heap and get a future 4th for Ragland, I'd be happyish....
  9. Don beebee Sam cowart Mark kelso Stevie Johnson aaron Williams I could go on and on.
  10. I brought my daughter at 3 to a preseason game (family day at the time) and she loved it. We left around halftime too. This will be her third season of going to one, and she looks forward to it for weeks. We're also bringing a 1 year old. I've taken newborns to MLB games, and its never been an issue either.
  11. We loved kids day in the past... my oldest daughter has gone since she was 3. This year we're going to next week's Thursday night game with my 1 year old... I don't anticipate making it beyond halftime, but a callused heart must start somewhere/sometime. I'd never take them to a regular season game, so I'm hoping that the preseason game will be a little more family friendly and certainly less crowded.
  12. The data doesn't show much... Lots of teams still sucked despite not having a ton of injuries.
  13. Not a lawyer - but a real estate broker and owner of several investment properties. I don't think she'll have a leg to stand on provided she satisfied her self of condition at the time of the walkthrough and returned the deposit. If you didn't have signed condition form at the time of exit, I'm assuming you didn't have one at the time of move in. She'll have no way to prove what the condition was before you moved in and what happened after you moved out. Stand your ground.
  14. I plan on going but haven't gotten tickets yet.
  15. He and Paul Gaustad battled for eco-champion of the city for a few years.
  16. Watching too much Liv an Maddie.... - this is my contribution to the 230 page thread
  17. Taylor's elusiveness is an asset and a liability... He makes his own plays, but sometimes that means the OL have 0 idea where he is and block accordingly. He may get tons of rushing yards for a QB, but a QB that read the defense and reacted accordingly, wouldn't need to be rushing the ball nearly as often. If he can learn after all this time to be a pocket QB first, his legs will become even more dangerous and the sky's the limit... but until that time, his upside is limited.
  18. The Bills did it twice... there's no doubt in my mind that we knew at least "some" inside detail on Carolina's draftboard. Whether that came from Beane or from McDermott's knowledge of the organization, we'll likely never know without investigation. Either way, it's about time the Bills started acting like they're paying attention.
  19. I think he plays well and we end up having to franchise tag him... If there's no QB/passing game improvement, he walks.
  20. In case you didn't read the other 3 threads - the Bills have elected not to pick up Sammy's 5th year option. /sarcasm
  21. I would have taken KC's trade. Then I would have offered the 27th pick plus our original 3rd to trade back up and get OJ Howard. Then my draft would look like: 18) OJ Howard - TE 44) Obi Melifonwu - S 91) Cordea Tankersly/Cameron Sutton - CB The rest - who knows. We'd still have holes in the roster, but we're in rebuild mode no matter how you look at it.
