  1. What's James Hardy doing now? We could use a big bodied WR for this strategy.
  2. That sums it up perfectly, and I've said the same thing for years. Once they lost their core focus and started dumbing down content and sexing up the staff it all went to hell.
  3. Reed is younger, faster, gets more yards after reception, sees more red zone activity, catches more contested balls, has a better catch rate, more yards/target.... is just more productive.
  4. I look for a TE that creates mismatches. They're too fast to be covered by DEs and LBs, and too big to be handled by lone CB's. They exist to create space for the offense - whether it's blocking to seal the corner, drawing a double to let someone else get free, etc. When you watch Washington, the offense runs through Reed, similar to Olsen in Carolina. I'll slide off of Top 3 and put him top 5 with Olsen and Julius Thomas ahead of him. I'd take Reed (when healthy) over Clay, Kelsay, Witten (at this point), Graham (at this point), Gates (at this point).
  5. Which TE's do you think are better playmakers in a non-fantasy world?
  6. When Jordan Reed is healthy he's a top 3 TE in the league. Gronk is the only clearly better TE (at least from playmaking ability).
  7. You're forgetting Alex Van Pelt, Drew Bledsoe, Kelly Holcomb, Brian Brohm, Thad Lewis and Jeff Tuel.
  8. Oh the great Steve Ballmer... the captain asleep at the wheel as CEO of Microsoft that took a company with 3X the revenue of Apple in 2000 when he started, to 50% when he finished. He was a great "guy next to The Guy", but he wasn't good as "the Guy". Jones has all of the physical tools, but his question marks are decision making, reading defense, not locking into one target and maturity, and unfortunately this video does help the case.
  9. Showing maturity and poise in the moment... CEO material, no doubt.
  10. Will Eric Wood get to call his eventual replacement?
  11. and some reports say that medical staff from playoff teams think he'll be ready by 2017...
  12. I'll say round 3, but I don't think he makes it that far. Remember Willis McGahee? We still took him in the 1st after his devastating bowl game injury. Somebody will give him a chance on potential alone. Here are the picks we've taken in the 3rd round in the last 10 years: As you can see, not many game changers. Even if Smith only had a 25% chance to be the player he was anticipated to be prior to the injury, the reward is worth the risk in my opinion. I'll take a 25% chance of a pro bowler over a 50% chance of a warm body to fill the roster. John Miller Preston Brown Marquise Goodwin Tj Graham Kelvin Sheppard Alex Carrington Chris Ellis Trent Edwards Ashton Youboty
  13. If you had the option to swap him out for Brandon Lafell at roughly the same price point, I think it'd be a positive step for the team. Lafell is better suited for the role we need of a field stretcher - Unfortunately he had hands of stone last season and seems to be seeing no interest.
  14. As I said in the other thread... at $8mil / year, what do you think the Bills were offering before they cut him? He had indicated he'd consider a discount to stay.
  15. Close to signing a deal with Miami for $8mil per year?.... Now you wonder what the Bills were willing to offer when he said he'd consider taking a discount to stay.
  16. get 'er done Doug...... for the right price.... with an incentive laden contract.... (insert typical free agent signing request verbiage here).
  17. Presumed innocence is for the court system, not public opinion.
  18. 2016 Bills Season Tickets - Your alibi when you just need a Sunday break from your family. As a bonus, season tickets could come with discounts to Buffalo Wild Wings.
  19. slight change upon further reflection... 2016 - No Promises, No Excuse!
  20. I'm pretty sure he said "I'm making a statement sooner or later" or something to that effect... not "I made a mistake".
  21. This may explain the red football helmet with a white F on in that I saw at a bar in Orlando last week. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what team it belonged to. Maybe it's the Florida Fusion that will be based in Orlando.
