  1. no under the current proposal Bills/Cincy divisional game would be in Buffalo as long as the Bills handle the Pats making the Bills the 2. All Cincy needed to do before the injury to lock up the 2 (forcing Bills to the 3) was maintain the lead at home v Bills and handle the Lamar-less ravens.
  2. Yeah I don’t know why the league felt the need to create a bargain for the ravens in the new proposal. Ravens have lost bad games down the stretch and they couldn’t sign their qb to a long term deal, now they are paying the price. I can’t envision they would complain too hard if the league just handed the division with the full 3 seed home field to the bengals.
  3. Here’s the solution: offer that Bills Cincy in the divisional round is on a neutral field, even if Bills and ravens lose week 18. Bills lose a lot relative to the current proposal but then would have the option to rest against the Pats. This does not solve the problem of KC getting gifted the bye but it lessens the pummeling Cincy is taking under the current proposal.
  4. haha. Thanks for the explanation. I don’t actually watch them win every week, just look at the consistent results in amazement.
  5. Have to give the chiefs credit. They almost get beat by a weaker team seemingly every other week but they almost always prevail with clutch play right at the end.
  6. Bills-Bengals game completion next Thursday, wildcard game(s) involving those teams stretched to the following Wednesday, AFC divisional games stretched to the following Tuesday, AFC championship game the Monday after NFC championship Sunday.
  7. Regarding the Diggs injury comments I think the team made a concerted effort to move away from a Diggs centered offense starting with the Browns game. Only way to win it all is to show that secondary weapons can beat you. For the most part it has worked. 6-0, RBs went crazy for 2 of the wins, McKenzie and Knox lead balanced attacks v Detroit and Miami.
  8. I think most opposing fans are envious about the soft shells Josh constantly forces the defenses into.
  9. Gilliam has good hands and is a free 8 yards every play.
  10. The freak athlete with upside is always the better pick, especially with an organization that has a winning culture. Basham was not seen as having a higher ceiling when drafted. He was drafted more for having a higher floor and for years of game experience. A head scratcher.
  11. His two targets two completions at the league minimum have provided excellent roi thus far with potential for expansion.
  12. Time for big game Gabe to play as a 1
  13. Bengals passing O is more dink and dunk than you think. Tre can hold up in that scenario.
  14. If Josh sweeps Mahomes and Burrow on the road to take the 1 seed, their MVP advocates will be scrambling.
  15. He’s also the all time number one NFL playoff passing leader, further testament to the fact he gets even better when the stakes are higher. 16. Why not just announce after the season like many fading HOFers do. He was an incredible player in his dpoy run but since then he’s always been too attention-seeking for his level of production imo. This press release is another example.
  17. Cinci would be number 1 seed based on head to head sweep having won both games AT HOME while Bills had to play both KC and Cinci ON THE ROAD. I could see head to head result as a valid tie breaker where the win is a road win (Bills take down KC on the road) but it should not be used where the team merely holds serve at home. Should be scored like plus/minus in hockey.
  18. yup at some point the players demand a house cleaning of the coaching staff and possibly the front office, not that Hackett had any chance of surviving.
  19. Watching Trevor Lawrence the last several weeks I’m more thankful than ever that old Frank Gore got that first down late in 2020 and they somehow flubbed the tanking for Trevor. That would be one scary roster with a cheap Trevor Lawrence on it for three more years.
  20. Bengals might be the overwhelming favorite next year since they have top players in many positions who have not been paid yet including QB. There is possible fatal flaw with the Bengals, in that Burrow does not sense the pass rush all that well. Hopefully the Bills can expose that next week and force more oline spending by the Bengals. Bills will be in a hang-on mode next year with Allen costing 45 and many key players at or beyond 30 costing a lot. Odds are not great that Diggs will remain a top 5 receiver in the year he turns 30 - staying in the top 10 will be an accomplishment at that age if you go by history. Not a lot of salary cap or draft capital to shore up weaknesses or get better with. We all loved the Von signing until week 10, but wth the injury that contract is hurting…a lot.
  21. Shhhhhhhhhhhhh…he’s not on the 53.
  22. For as “bad” as Josh played this game, his arm still forced the bears into a soft shell D in a zero degrees wind storm, setting the stage for the RBs to rush for over 200 yds, 9 yards per. If that’s his bad game I’ll take it.
  23. Early in the year when Lawrence was still jaggy I thought the football gods were looking kindly on the Jets for not tanking for Trevor. But yes, yesterday showed they should have completed the tank. Ancient Frank Gore picked up a critical first down for them to complete the non-tank.
