I think what the DBs are told is that the best way to avoid PI called every other play now is to always go aggressively for the ball and by making it clear you are going for the catch all contact with the defender may be excused and the PI flag will not come down. Jefferson is just a vastly superior player.

Dawkins could be replaced in the off-season but if he went down now it would be over. There is a big difference between and an average oline, and bad one. With a QB elite at evading the rush the team is set up to have an average oline investment level. No one should be surprised when there is difficulty facing a top dline.

Last year every top team disgraced itself at some point of the season. With a 17 game schedule and a single playoff bye per conference available the regular season is one giant slog fest. Ups and downs are inevitable.

Going back to last year he’s had some bad games at home against lesser opponents. Falcons last year 3 picks, took him out of the MVP race and even the pro bowl. Good news he usually plays better when it matters the most. 1000 yards 10-0 TD ratio, 125+ rating last 3 games at KC. He’s the anti-Kirk cousins. -

I never put 2 and 2 together about Peyton’s falling off the cliff following immediately after the quickly stifled Peyton PED reports. That’s how complete and quick the history washing was.

this side of Barry Bonds…late in Peyton’s career there was a big report about him juicing, they found drugs shipped to him. His PR did not know how to handle, so Peyton totally fumbled it and blamed it on his wife or something. Then, radio silence. The press shut down the story never to be raised again. When you are a cash cow you are a cash cow.
